Superb Guide on the Fundamentals
Jean-Charles Skarbowsky is a legendary fighter from France, and one of the best Westerners to ever compete in this beautiful sport. Even as someone whose level is intermediate/advanced, I follow the principle that refining the fundamentals has no ceiling. It's something that should always be done, for it is the bedrock, the foundation of your entire skillset. Don't hesitate to grab this volume by a true master of the sport.

This is the best Muay Thai fundamentals course on BJJFanatics. Skarbowsky manages to at least touch on almost all the broad "categories" of Muay Thai skill (punches, kicks, knees/elbows, clinch, defense, etc.) This course is ideal for beginners looking to build on what they're learning in class and develop a broad, conceptual understanding of Muay Thai. Highly recommend for anyone training less than two years.

JC Skarbowsky is an UFO in the world of Muaï Thaï and he is eager to transmit his knowledge. We learn lots of useful things even on basic stuff like the guard. Every stance, movement has an objective and everything is aimed at the most simple and dangerous efficiency. His teaching style is intense and we see how he won fights with the moves and combinations that he teach. Very motivating!

Outstanding instructional. I have been saving up for this purchase and it's totally worth the money and much more. I have been looking for years for something like this and the instructor is very specific with details on how to execute a move. I will be buying more of his products in the future when I have more money saved up.

I own Rafael Cordeiro's program as well and I like this one better. Not only it shows more production value, but Jean Charles is more engaging. Obviously I am not saying Cordeiro's is bad by any stretch of the imagination, just that this one grabs my attention harder. Jean Charles really knows his stuff and gives you details and nuances, but he doesn't overwhelm the beginners. I got it because I learned he was GSP's drunken striking coach from this clip form the UFC (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6uhuSimf-A) and I am glad I didn´t miss on this no-nonse DVD. Its made all the more engaging, because the teachings of some techniques are then showcased with real clips from his extremely illustrious Competition career so it more or less reminds me of Gordon Ryan's "My Evolution your Revolution". This is the way to go moving forward. Its my favorite format for learning Martial Arts trough DVD's. Show the Technique, Apply it on a willing Huke and THEN show it on REAL SITUATION AGAINST A RESISTING OPPONENT. ******* Gold. Also the last huke is really cute and the Muay Thay Clinch is natural complement for our bjj for self defense purposes (and the trows from the clinch seem a natural transition from striking to ground game for MMA or self defense) My only pep pive is that Jean Charles looks and sounds disappointingly sober throughout the hole video...
