I love the energy that coach Bane brings to these videos. They have made my game a lot better.
This video is absolutely amazing and works great against sitting guard.
Joel's techniques are killer. Very painful, and they work at high levels.
Just awesome
Joel Bane is a monster and this is a good instructional video series. It helps expand concepts for entries against open guard players.
Joel is a CACC king, and he's got some super vicious ways of shutting down the BJJ open guard.
This guys instruction is great and everything is served with a extra dose of ill-intent.
Opponents do not like these techniques
Awesome, clear concise content. Excellent detailed descriptions of the techniques. Coach Dale definitely needs a pay rise!!
If you aren't familiar with Joel Bane and SnakePitUSA Catch Wrestling, get familiar. Another great instructional video. I struggle against butt scooters, this video has been a godsend to beat them.
Coach Bane has put together a quality instructional here. He demonstrates some great Catch Wrestling concepts and techniques for dealing with guard pullers, particularly those who utilize butterfly guard (although the concepts apply across the board). Because of that, this one is probably a little more competition oriented than previous material by Coach Bane. As always, he is a stickler for the small details, which is one of my favorite things about him. He could absolutely "muscle" the techniques if he wanted to, but he doesn't. He focuses on the small, critical details that pay huge dividends when applying the techniques. His love for the art of Catch Wrestling always comes through in his videos. There is only one negative to this video, and that is the fact that the camera work is a little bit off. I don't know why, but the camera goes in and out of focus more than a few times, particularly in Volume 1. Not a deal-breaker, by any means, but it was noticeable. I can't put that on Coach Bane, cos he's not the one running the camera, but it does happen, so be aware. I had to knock half a star off for that, so my overall score on this one is 4.5. In any case, there are only three instructors who I will buy their videos immediately, and without question, and Coach Joel Bane is one of those. If you want to start learning Catch the way it should be taught, you cannot go wrong with Coach Bane.
Don't complain about the butt scooter /guard puller, CATCH and destroy them! Quick and efficient techniques from positions you are always in and around. Quick painful transitions right into the submission. As always with Coach Bane when he emphasizes the details you know that's what makes the technique high success. The content in this video absolutely delivers. Bonus Drills in the beginning for helping you attack the guard !!! get ready to deliver pain!!!
As always with Coach Bane, Every technique is given with great attention to details. and it's those details that make it work, and painful with high success. Everything you want from Catch and more. All the techniques are from positions you are always in or around. Don't complain about the butt scooter / guard puller destroy them with these techniques!!
Joel is an excellent instructor with great knowledge to pass on. My only complaint is that the camera goes out of focus a few times, but it's not his fault.
