DLR Fundamentals
Otavio. Sousa appears as a clear guide of how to use DLR fundamentals and how to connect them. Clear concepts about how to work with proper angles and when to transition to different DLR follow ups to sweep and submlt. Highly recommend!!

A top notch and a fantastic instructional on the De La Riva Guard. Professor Sousa is a 3 time Middleweight World Champion, and is very thorough when it comes to teaching. This instructional no exception, and I highly recommend this if you want to improve your De La Riva Guard. This is Pure Gold

I wanted to get an instructional with high percentage system for DLR guard because I tend to land in it so often and Mr. Sousa's DVD appeared to be the perfect match. After watching it only once I was able to hit some moves in the sparring, so now I'm actively working through these techniques in depth and I'm really happy that I decided to buy it. It's not a beginner instructional, but the techniques here are quite simple to learn fast and effective enough to be rewarded with hitting them on your opponents while rolling straight away. They seem to me to be especially good for strong and heavy guys who love to play guard. Highly recommended for those who want to level up their DLR game and are looking for a starting point.

You will get clear explanaitions of each technique as well as tips when you should take your time for the next step and increasing the level of control and when to accelerate precise. What too makes this instruxtional extra worthy are all the pisutional and postural details on adjustment to secure and hit the technique efficient and safe! Highly recommend!!

I remember watching highlights of his sweeps and wishing I could learn more details from then a few months later this came out. These sweeps can be done at all levels sense they don't require a lot of flexibility like most others. Great work!

The techniques shown in this instructional is the exact same techniques Otavio Sousa uses in his competition. Same techniques that won him 3 world championships. Sousa is incredibly athletic but the techniques he shown doesn't require athleticism or flexibility. His sit up guard is what made me pull the trigger on his instructional and I was not disappointed. Everyone can benefit from white belt to black belt.
