  this instructional is one of my all time favorites. I've had it since I was a white belt. John Danaher talks about the importance of becoming hard to submit while look no further! this instructional covers escapes from arm bars (bottom and top), triangles (normal, back variation, reverse variation, etc.), kimuras (bottom side, bottom half, top half, etc.), guillotines, darces, anaconda, arm triangle, back control, heel hooks, etc. I didn't even list all the sub escapes. this instructional allowed me to become difficult to submit and made me WAY more confident in going for subs, knowing that if I was put in a sub, I was very confident in my escapes. Garry covers not just the basic submissions but advanced submissions as well. You get everything. it's incredible and if I had to recommend only one instructional, it's this one.

  While I'll still probably get Danaher's New Wave submission escapes, this is just about the complete package. The only thing really missing is a thorough discussion on leg lock defense. Garry is really good at summarizing complex things. This will be my go-to resource when I'm struggling against a submission.
