Excellent front head stuff, especially if you do not have long arms. supplemented well with comp footage
A very complete introduction of the understanding of the front strangle movement
Learned a ton from this; definitely would recommend.
great setups and finishing mechanics
Thanks for effective and efficient techniques
I have virtually every guillotine/front headlock instructional on the market and this one is fantastic. David teaches a lot of stuff not seen elsewhere and a lot of it is geared towards finishing big strong athletic guys who can muscle out of most chokes. The match footage he includes really illustrates why David approaches the techniques the way he does.
g..........
it's amazing
D. G. introduces the ideas of front headlocks first. Then he goes over finishing mechanics. After this solid foundation he shows set ups and finishes from every level and szenerio. Proper amount of details and easy to understand. Highly rwcommend!
I was not familiar with David Garmo before watching this video series, but he is an excellent instructor. He really breaks down key details to help get the finish. Definitely recommend.
Really enjoyed this instructional. It doesn’t just jump right into techniques but gives high level overviews of why things work and there’s a pattern consistent throughout the videos so you start connecting the techniques together in your mind. Can’t wait to start trying this out.
this instructional blew me away- so impressed by this product. garmo's system is both accessible & unique- & he encourages finishing on top/dominant position. finishing on top is helpful for people like me- I'm always reticent to attempt front headlock techniques for fear of sacrificing position & getting stuck on bottom... so I loved his system! beyond the quality of his system, he is a really good instructor who does a good job explaining the "why" to his approach & cues for when to apply these moves. in addition to the technical detail, the product itself has a really cool feature that i remember seeing on an old jacare instructional, but very few instructionals have imitated since, which is showing a move & then following it up with live tourney footage of the tech. i think it really helps to show live footage and/or tourney breakdowns because seeing the move live against the high-caliber opponents gives you more confidence in practicality of the move, gives you an idea of how move looks real-time, and also gives you insight into how an opponent might react and resist to the move in a live scenario. i can't say good enough things about this instructional, thanks mr. garmo & BJJ fanatics!
Thorough and concise instructional for anyone who wants to use headlocks and front strangles, wether beginner or advanced.
I don't write reviews, but I had to for this one. Its my favorite instructional on front strangles, Garmo is fantastic at explaining things, his teaching is clear and to the point. I found it to be very helpful on my attacking game.
This is my favourite front strangle series yet. Dave garmo is a beast on the strangles and competitively, so he knows what he’s talking about. His instructions are clear and in depth. He mixes in a ton of scenarios that could happen and shows footage from his competitions to show a live version of his instructions unfolding in real time. He explores guillotines, darce chokes, anacondas - an excellent and in depth exploration of the strangle. Worth every cent.
There are so many dvds to go through on here. I looked At all the content and it resonated completely with what i needed Work on. Thorough explanations and detail. I even Shot him a DM on Instagram and he was down to answer my questions. Super dope! Buy this!
The instruction is clear (in both voice and articulation) and detailed. It is obvious that this instructional was rehearsed beforehand. It is presented in a well organized fashion that seems to link everything together smoothly. There are competition clips provided that show the use of these techniques at a high level but the clips are short and dont feel like they are padding the content. The content itself is masterful. I have seen a lot of guillotine instructional videos. they all tell you what is important to varying degrees and then move on. This is the FIRST instructional that i have ever seen that actually gives you content on how to get those details right. Repping this in my basement after the first few clips was shocking. i had never felt a guillotine that felt so overpowered and awful.... that was before any squeezing. This is what Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is supposed to be.
Awesome details…..David is a fantastic instructor- Nate K.
I haven’t enjoyed an instructional this much since Ryan Hall’s original 50/50. Phenomenal content with flawless structure. The explanation with competition examples immediately after make this instructional a must watch
