Back torture
This is a great instructional on back control and attacks. The best thing about it is that Matt gives us a lot of troubleshooting scenarios so we don’t get surprised when trying stuff out.

An excellent instructional – Content, teaching and quality of the video (long review)
At the core of the instructional is a comprehensive back control system, taught in the GI, which follows a logical approach to systematically remove your opponent’s ability to effectively escape your control and puts them in the best position for you to submit them (i.e., both their arms are controlled with you having a free arm). Two approaches are taught, one for the underside and another for the overhook side. Once you have control you are taught to move directly into a submission. A range of submissions are taught. Usefully there are series of chapters covering trouble shooting the system and how to best deal with different types of opponents. The balance of the instructional covers the crucifix; a back control drill; and flows to enter back control from side control, mount and commencing with a leg drag. The instructional is logically structured and has a run time of two hours. Matt Darcy is an excellent instructor. He teaches his system step by step, which makes it easy to understand and memorise. The demonstrations are clear and as is the norm demonstrations are repeated from different angles. Other than the techniques and the quality of teaching, the other outstanding attribute is the quality of the video production. The instructional has been filmed and edited professionally. Evidence of this quality can be seen in the preview chapter and the trailer. I purchased this instructional prior to it being available through BJJ Fanatics and it is definitely one of the better GI back control instructionals. I have watched it multiple times. Providing you practice the content of this instructional you will definitely improve your back control technique and your ability to submit your training partners and opponents. In summary, this is a low risk option to improve your knowledge and skills in back control, the crucifix and back submissions.
