Great instructional form one of the OGs and the technical master mind behind Xande Ribeiros success as a competitor. Great overview for beginners. And some fine details for advanced practitioner.
Excellent Guide for Bjj practitioners
Excellent videos that clearly explain the fundamentals of BJJ, enabling effective grappling at all levels. The escape techniques and guard passing moves were particularly useful to me. I recommend it, and I believe Ribeiro is an excellent teacher.
True to the Book
Jiu-Jitsu University is one of my favourite jiu-jitsu books of all time. At the same time, there are certain skills that are better taught through video, and grappling is one of them. I was delighted, therefore, when I saw BJJ Fanatics had released a video version of the book. I highly recommend this to anyone who has benefited from the book.
Fundamental understanding with advanced efficiency
Saulo gives you a lot of information spanning a very broad group of topics. He focuses in on the principles and details he finds are the most important while curating the techniques he finds the most efficient and accessible for all ages and body types.
Good Detailed Coverage
I liked the original book, but in this instructional, he adds more and clarifies some of what the pictures in the book couldn't.

It is super helpful to see Saulo demonstrating the techniques he originally illustrated in his book, Jiu Jitsu University. In addition to the original content, Saulo includes details not mentioned in the original text, solo exercises, and stand up/take down techniques. This was a very helpful course and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you BJJ Fanatics and Saulo!

This tutorial is full of mastery tips and things I initially didn't learn from my instructors during my white belt phase. Now I can clean up some of my weak points and become a more difficult person to submit like Jon Fitch. Excellent instructor, excellent syllabus and a honest view of BJJ.

Still working my way through but really enjoying watching in my down time. Some details that are not said aloud in class I am able to find in here and it helps supplement my in person learning.

Ribeiro's JJ University is a great guide. I think it is one of the best series a new practitioner can purchase. There are plenty of clear instructions for people at every level of the game.
