Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Pressure Passing Review
Great video for the the master himself Ze Mario Sperry. Helpful old school Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques that help you slow down rolls and use leverage and pressure. Really helpful as an older athlete rolling with guys a decade or two younger.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:As a 57 old BJJ
As a 57 old BJJ competitor, I found this instructionnal very good and answering some of my problems to pass guard in specific position like De la Riva. Was able to complicate the defense of some strong guys at my academy who have excellent retention skills.
Pressure Passing upgraded with takedowns and submissions
Professor Mario Sperry developed a simple and compact passing game surrounded by takedowns and mount and submissions. He also shows when there are possibilities to take the back. He also shows his knee on belly game and how it fits into the system. He utilizes kneecut based and side smashed based passing to beat almost all different kinds of guards. Iz is all about getting chest to chest. I like his over under passing the most. Especially his counter counter. His knee on belly approach is a very active ride to control and submit. His takedowns arw a congruente system too. Recommend!!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Short but concise and helpful half-guard and misc guard passing
Great succinct video for guys, like me, who are into methodical, simple guard passing. Mario Sperry is a great instructor who gives clear step by step instructions and shows the move from several angles. Not a lot of technique shown, but what is included in this instructional is valuable. On the shorter side of instructionals, but that can be a plus so you don’t get overwhelmed by quantity and instead can focus on the moves shown.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Great for the older guys
Good simplistic techniques. Takes you back to the basics, nothing flashy but very effective. Wish these videos were around when I was a younger guy back in the 90's
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Another tool for us older BJJ players
More tools for the toolbox. Helped me understand better how to use pressure and static strength for rolling with younger/faster/stronger players.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Another great video for the older BJJ addicts
Found it very helpful to change my mindset about the pressure and static strength I can use when rolling with younger faster players. Taught very simply and easy to follow.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Simple, Effective and Non-Athletic Guard Passing from the Master!
Ze Mario outlines a simple, effective and non-athletic plan to pass the guard. This is all taught with the underlying focus of maintaining control, keeping good position, and making your opponent tired, while you work towards the guard pass and finish. Well suited for older grappler and anyone looking to learn some of the secrets of one of the all-time greats in Jiu Jitsu!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Living Legend
This series gives you an amazing opportunity to learn from a true living legend Zé Mario Sperry! An ADCC Weight/Absolute/SuperFight Champion Zé Mario clearly has one of the most accomplished resumes around! You guys will not be disappointed! OSS
