Overlooked but important fundamental position 👍
Interesting way of using an often random position you get stuck in as a whole system to sweep and attack... I really enjoyed it !
Awesome instructional, have watched it several times
Very useful course on this specialized guard
James Clingerman is a great professor. I love his "Shin On Belly Guard" and "The BJJ Modified Overhook". His demonstration is easy to understand and very helpful!
A bad position converted in a full guard system. Wow.
Simple but very effective details, the thing that i really liked the most, it was the fact that you can aplly all of those if you lasso fails. No doubt that it is a great addition, to those who like to play lasso and would like to have a bunch of back up options if the lasso guard fails. It is a great investement no doubt.
Professor James Clingerman provided an unique instructional on the shin an belly guard. I use this guard primarily as a kind of a back up guard when one of my legs gets trapped or to escape side control. This guard is a great option/example to use sweeps as an entry to submissions and of course to sweep and follow up attacks. You get all crucial details explained while the techniques get shown. He also extract details and shows them isilated that you really able to catch it. Highly recommend!!
I find myself in this position quite often when escaping side control and usually I am unable to free my shin to escape. Professor James does a fabulous job of the options I have once I get stuck with my shin on opponents belly. I feel more confident now in recovering guard and attacking.
