The reviews
Great instructional for smaller players
A great instructional for anyone but especially the smaller jiujitsu players. Great techniques and concepts.
Good basic guard retention material
A very complete look at guard retention in Jiu Jitsu, with useful concepts and well rounded techniques.
Very helpful
Lots of helpful items
Great for smaller grapplers
I watch a lot of tutorials but most of them aren't focused on fighting larger people. This one is and works very well for me.
Solid tutorial
As an older Jiu Jitsu player who has lost a few steps on my game, I purchased the tutorial to up my game when rolling with younger, stronger and faster opponents. With no disrespect intended to our female Jiu Jitsu warriors, I figured that a lot of women are often in the same position of having to defend from larger and stronger opponents, so any tricks that Chelsea could teach me, would be worthwhile. The tutorial did not disappoint and I would recommend it to anyone just starting out in Jiu Jitsu or anybody looking for fundamental training or re-training on guard retention techniques. Chelsea gives clear demonstration and instruction that is easy to incorporate into your game.

Bjj essence
A woman bjj black belt has a lot of rolls with bigger and physically stronger opponents. So she has to perfectly understand what bjj is: the art through which the weaker one may prevail on the stronger (it was Helio’s philosophy) She is teaching this… a must watch. Also because, no matter tour size, there always somebody bigger and stronger
A Strong Point of View
When developing a game, I think a strong point of view creates clarity. Chelsea Leah does an excellent job of defining a specific strategy that follows a hierarchical process and is focused on maintaining and creating frames. Because the strategy is measurable in terms of worst, worse, bad, good, better, and best -- it is easier to evaluate and improve your position. In the end, I really liked the logical progression this video provided and I think it will improve my open guard, guard retention, and closed guard substantially.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Stop being crushed and smashed easily by your opponents and training partners
This instructional (Gi) by Chelsea Leah consists of seven volumes and teaches a range of concepts and techniques to help you to avoid being crushed and smashed by your opponents and training partners. It is structured by first teaching the broad concepts of developing and maintaining a strong guard and then the following five volumes teach techniques from closed guard, collar and sleeve, lasso, reverse De La Riva and a version of the lapel guard. In terms of techniques other than briefly teaching the guard technique inclusive of how to control distance, a range of sweeps and submissions are also taught. The final volume shows Chelsea Leah rolling with students and instructors to demonstrate the content of this instructional in a live rolling situation. Chelsea Leah is a second degree black belt. She is a successful high level competitor and instructor. In my opinion given the content of this instructional (i.e., avoiding being crushed), she has enormous credibility. She can teach from practical experience, as she cannot rely on her size or strength to stop being crushed and smashed and instead must rely on the timely application of appropriate technique. Chelsea Leah’s instruction and demonstrations are clear. She coaches through the topic, which is preferable rather than just talking you through the steps of the technique. The techniques taught are practical and not complicated. These techniques would suit students with average levels of fitness and flexibility. In my opinion this is the sort of instructional that is not difficult to watch multiple times. The instructional has been filmed with a fixed camera. The quality of the video is good however the range could be closer to the instructor and their uke with less background. This issue can be seen in the preview clip. Perhaps a minor point, but with both white coloured floor and wall mats it would have been preferable if at least one of either the instructor or the uke had worn a non-white Gi. Sound is clear and there are no issues with the microphone. The instructional runs for a total of 2 hours and 21 minutes and comprises 49 chapters. In summary, if you are a Gi player and having trouble with being crushed by your training partners or opponents then this instructional should be a worthwhile purchase. If this is you, just get it. Obviously if you are regularly being crushed, working on your guard (i.e., this instructional) should be accompanied by also improving your positional escaping techniques.
