The title says its a systematic instructional on the subject and it certainly is, it goes through all the most effective techniques and details for attacking your opponents guard.

A very detailed approach to Gordon's passing game! He shows how to address each of the various modern guards so you have an answer to any possible guard. My only criticism of this instructional is that he goes through move, after move, after move and it's a lot of information to remember and to apply in the gym. It would be helpful if he incorporated more concepts and basic rules, similar to what Danaher does, to support the system. This way you can understand the premise behind the moves, which makes it easier to remember and apply in training.

This is one of the most in depth series ever. Gordon Ryan adds tidbits along they way that apply beyond passing. In order to pass well he talks about positional tweaks that you need to implement to beat frames or that a smart partner will attempt to stop your passing. These will have the added benefit of making you better at guard and submissions and pinning, not just passing. You need to take notes. You need to practice to implement. If you do this you will become a problem in the room.

You can tell this is one of his earlier instructionals as the production quality and his delivery has improved. It would be better to see him demonstrating on somebody his size to get a better visual representation of the moves, but it’s good enough. Worth it just for the key details that make the moves work. Great reference if you’re having trouble in an area of passing.
