The instruction is clear and detailed, and the video and audio quality good. I can't complain at all
Great instructional! I've found it useful when they're defending the arm saddle.
A great instructional that is direct and to the point. Some nice entries from common positions and nothing that requires extreme flexibility. The demonstrated setups also includes other submission options to help counter your opponent's possible reactions. A worthy addition to any training library.
Easy instructions and sneaky setups.
Great, straight forward information. I play with the Kimura a lot and this gives me other options when my partner is being hyper defensive. Now his defensive is my set up! Thanks!
Long time blue belt, but my instructor has never covered this technique. Good instruction and a quick watch. I like all the entries that are covered too. Hoping to try this out soon!
I like the detail just wish there were different angles when demonstrating the tech
Great technique to add to your game, flows well !
Good dvd from the inventor of the submission himself. Really liked the top kimura finish which most people are unaware of. Many details on how to set up the attacks and avoid being countered
Great content here as usual. BJJ fanatics constantly bringing top quality and changing the game.
Solid instructional that only takes about 54 minutes to watch, but kept me interested and engaged the whole time. It's entertaining to watch multiple times and still gain a lot of value from this instructional. Tarik not only shows you how to apply his move, but also how to counter your opponents reactions and enter into it from several positions that will catch your opponents off guard. I first saw this technique demonstrated from John Danaher's Kimura System, Danaher gave credit to Tarik for this move. I learned from Danaher how to apply the technique without the Gi, but have been having fun applying it with the Gi as Tarik demonstrates in his video. Highly recommended, an investment that will last a lifetime for the Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast who never gives up and trains for life!
Great content. Short and direct.
Great submission that links really well with other attacks.
Thought this was a good introduction and as a result of going through this instructional I now catch someone in the tarikoplata every now and then. On the downside, I still run into a few issues while setting the submission up. Troubleshooting area could have been more extensive in my opinion.
This is a great sub. I’m a small guy at 160 going against mostly 200+ guys at my gym. Once you hit this thing it’s game over. Most people have no idea what to do and the few that roll you back Tarik shows you how to roll them back over. Great tool in the arsenal.
Useful technique. I love it. Once the knee catch the elbow, the game is about to over.
A great technique from an upcoming athlete. So far I had a lot of success with it in my gym, since almost nobody knows whats coming. Most people expect a kimura and therefore don't defend the tarikoplata properly. A technique definitely worth knowing. Highly recommended!
Video is around 50 minutes long and offers some good advice on how to make your Tarikoplata tighter and better. Also 4-6 entrances into Tarikoplata from other positions. Good video. Would Recommend.
A unique submission good for all belts. Works on high level opponents.
nice new technic good for flexible player
Great instructional. Amazing submission that is really hard to escape, as proven by Tarik in so many competitions. A must buy for a cheap price. Tarik is great at explaining the various details as well.
Tarik is a good teacher & not surprisingly since the move is named after him. I really like these dvd devoted to one move & what is connected to them. I picked up a few really valuable details I hadn’t seen before. My only gripe is that i don’t like that both Placido & Tarik are wearing black most of the video. It’s much better at the end when Placido is wearing a white Gi- it makes for a better viewing experience. I wish all videos the uke would wear a different color GI
I've had the pleasure of learning the Tarikoplata from Tarik himself. Not only is the submission extremely effective (it has won me several competitions), Tarik is also a great instructor. He knows a solution to all the problems that might occur whilst you apply the technique. Very recommended!
