This is a solid mount instruction with some good details and subs. Lots of angles and good audio.
Kyle gives you a very simple straight forward top mount road map to follow for finishing your opponents. Easy to grasp and drill all of these attacks with a grappling ***** or willing partner.
This is one of the best instructionals I’ve purchased, it’s very practical jiu jitsu without being overly complex like Danaher and Musumeci tend to be. I remember watching a bjj globetrotters segment with Kyle on takedowns. He’s the type of personality for people with a good sense of humor and don’t take things too seriously. I laughed out loud on two occasions when he was explaining a position just being himself. There is deep value with these kind of instructionals. Kyle is an excellent black belt with tons of knowledge who doesn’t possess a bunch of fame or highly decorated IBJJF nonsense. You get the goods without all the fluff and inflated price. There’s many of them on fanatics from great black belts covering certain positions and techniques with without a 45 minute opening dialogue on where to place your feet in De La Riva so you can feel your opponent digesting their food. Broken up into 8 parts that you have to purchase. Insane. I like that Kyle shows you the technique, talks about a few details related to the position but keeps it moving and literally takes the position around the clock so that you can see it from every angle. Very thoughtful and deep value instructional. Highly recommend.
Kyle explains many concepts as well as specific techniques, since learning some of the concepts from this instructional I’ve been able to clean up many areas of my game. Everytime I rewatch this video I learn something new that I’ve missed the first time. It’s packed with great information I’m excited to check out Professor Sleeman’s other instructionals!
