Another awesome Instructional from Mikey Musumeci. As always, Mikey discusses in full detail the concepts of the De La Riva Guard.
The De La Riva System Part 1: The Foundation
De La Riva Systematized intelligently for real world usability
Deceptively subtle
Watched this in full 3x over past 2 years. Finally getting it all. Effectively the entire video is one tilt sweep. Was hitting it after first viewing, but sometimes it didn't work at all. After watching it twice more, I finally understood about the common principles and being sensitive to what their weight and grips are doing. That was why it wasn't working sometimes before. Very cool!

excellent courss
easy to understand and very helpful
Fantastic!
Mikey is such a brilliant coach. He knows this guard inside and out and exceptionally breaks it down comprehensively and systematically. The concepts he covers encompass guard strategies applicable to all forms of guard. Of course, he focuses these concepts on the DLR. He also shows DLR defense to cover the proper offense. Thanks Mikey, these are pure gold!!! I will be ordering (probably) all of his instructionals.

Mikey builds a good foundation for De La Riva and reliable ways to address common scenarios
So much Information
Great breakdown on how to properly play De Le Riva. I used to be somewhat discouraged to use this guard because certain people could always shut it down so easily, but now that I've picked up a few really important details, I'm starting to see success again!
great instruction
ingenious instruction, incontrovertibly respectful of this technique
Crazy good
I was hesitant on buying the course because I read that he can get lost on the details and be too much for beginners. I found the opposite to be true. Mikey is very conceptual and gives world class explanations.
