Very solid video and great explanation on techniques
I loved this, great information - lots of details and I even picked up a lot of little adustments to add to my game. I would highly recommend and I'm waiting for more of her videos to come!
I own a few closed guard instructional. At first, I hesitated to buy another closed guard video as I was looking for open guard video. With the daily deal discount, I finally purchased this video of Kyra Gracie. I didn’t regret at all. She s a great teacher very detailed explanations (and why we do that) n not waste time straight to the point. That’s the only instructional of Kyra Gracie at BJJFanatics. If she release another video I willl buy again.

Awesome instructional, she breaks down very well and explains all aspects so that everyone understands the little details.
This is a two hour instructional on the closed guard bottom and covers a broad range of topics with the aim of improving your effectiveness and efficiency when you are in the closed guard bottom position. The material in summary includes getting the closed guard; how to efficiently and effectively maintain and dominate the closed guard bottom position including gaining the back; submissions (kimura, guillotine, cross collar choke, armbar, triangle and several submissions from the over-hook); and a number of effective sweeps. Importantly the instructional also addresses what to do when the opponent attempts to break and pass your guard or use your lapel to choke you when in your closed guard. Kyra’s instructions are clear and easily understood. Kyra’s approach to teaching is to go through the technique in detail several times and then she reviews the key points to making the technique a success. For some techniques, to add to the clarity of the technique Kyra performs the main motions without the uke. I liked that for many of the submissions Kyra addressed the likely responses from the opponent and a good example of this was the detail provided for the triangle choke. Sound and picture quality are good. The instructional was filmed with a fixed camera and also a stabilized handheld camera, so the quality, angles of view and range are excellent. I think this instructional is largely targeted at white and blue belts. The level of detail provided for each technique is excellent and a good example is the cross collar choke. If you are wanting to improve your closed guard skills, then this instructional would be a good place to start.
I was a little worried about spending money on something like this but WOW! I am so glad I got it. She is an amazing teacher and is so detail oriented. I really hope she makes more videos! Looking forward to rewatching and practicing these concepts and being able to take down the bigger guys in class!!!
I just watched the entire course and this will help my game so much! I’m so glad I bought it, Kyra is incredible and explains everything very well! Highly recommend this course to anyone looking to improve your closed guard game.
