Best details in guard retention along with examples
Great details on typical guard
No concepts to old guard retention
Super detailed and systematic guard retention course. Lachlan Giles and Ariel Tabak break down defenses to common passes (knee cuts, smash, half guard) with clear concepts and live rolling examples. Feels like a complete, practical gameplan rather than just a collection of techniques.

Super complete guide on guar retention.
Best on the market, revolutionized my game
Fixed my retention for both gi and no-gi
I have watched 3 other guard retention instructionals (from other famous instructors), but Lachlan puts it into a system where all the boxes are checked and connected to each other perfectly into a simple system. It caused my guard game a massive improvement right from the first chapter. This guy is golden in the sport of BJJ and he should be the top1 option for almost every person.
I've watched dozens of instructions. This one is easily one of the best! As an older heavyweight beginner, I have surprised myself at how easily these moves can be learned. I saw immediate improvement in both my guard retention AND my guard passing during sparring . My 23 year old heavyweight mat nemesis said "damn....I couldn't pass your guard." after our last roll. My instructor took noticed as well and gave an encouraging complement. I like that the instructional is well organized and indexed. I also particularly like the format with a brief preview of techniques within each section and then brief summaries at the end of each chapter "linking the techniques together" so that you understand the context behind when to use each move. Very well presented, high quality content. Thank you professors!
Very easy to follow
