Way to the kneebar
I'm not yet at the stage where Ican attack a knee. but it's a good preparation for the future. Panda Guard can stop the attack by entering from half guard.
Panda Guard
I've been playing the half guard most of the time I've been training and working on this Panda Guard for about the past 6 months. I find it's a really great alternative to a dog fight or a deep half. It also allows me to find a lot of the leg locks I've been working on lately. Highly recommend if you're looking for some variation on a half guard.
panda guard
looks really interesting need to try in rolls
The Panda Guard by Nikki Sullivan
That's an amazing video. Unique but very effective. I have also become very good at kneebars.
Very specific techniques
This is one of those instructionals that are very specific. The "panda guard" is a very specific type of inverted guard. You get just a couple of sweeps and submissions. This is in contrast to a de la riva guard for example that has a lot of moves from it. Nikki is a great coach and competitor that really uses this guard constantly. This means that the instructional covers reactions, alternatives and pretty much every aspect of the guard. If you like less move but deeper explanations and a solid gameplan, this is for you.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:One of my favorite videos
One of my favorite videos to date. The guard is fun to play with. First time I pulled it off my partner was confused. Just like the coach says I hung out and just let my partner stress. Nikki lays the system out perfectly. I really enjoyed this vid.

Very helpful with this unique guard, but also helped me understand how to do all my inversions better.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Panda made work for all levels of flexibility!
Professor Nikki Sullivan developed a very well rounded system around the panda guard and the kneebar. I like to play half guard and I like the kimura as well as x-guards. So for me the panda guard turned out to be a great add on.I like it because of its strong connection with the opponent with my legs and arms. She explains very structured and concise. I like the sweep micri game and the kneecut passing option! Highly recommend!
top notch
top notch
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Knee bah
I happened across this and got caught by the half-guard entry. Then I was hooked with the kneebar transition and the applicability of the panda entries. It confuses some people at my gym when they see big boy go for his shoulder!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::clap::skin-tone-3::clap::skin-tone-3:Excellent Instruction
Nikki does an excellent job of breaking down all of the entries, attacks, sweeps, and transitions from her well tested Panda Guard. I bought this instructional after seeing her successfully use this guard in competition after competition. Her coaching is clear and approachable; I felt like I could incorporate this guard into my game right away. She also does a great job of explaining common mistakes in different positions, so you can troubleshoot what's not working. I absolutely recommend purchasing Panda Guard.
