cool
great technique that is very transferable for bjj
One of the best vids for wrestling.
This video helped a lot of my frustrations with my standup game
If you want a full package, total survey of wrestling, this course has all the information you need. Unfortunately, it is insanely hard to watch. It seems like whoever edited the clips hated them or had some reason to put effort into putting title pages at the wrong spots, repeating segments and leaving dead time with the Askrens staring at the camera saying nothing. Both the Askrens are give enough info to understand everything, but they have lot's of pauses and stalling "okay guys..." which makes it even harder to work through the material. So, this is five star info in a two star layout.
great
great!
Fantastic beginner to intermediate resource for getting some basic fundamentals and applying them on the mats.
Wrestling, MMA, BJJ, and more
Ben Askren has proven to be one of the best graplers in mma, this instructional has helped me to improve my stand up dramatically, highly recommend to everyone
Good collection of bread and butter folkstyle techniques. Dated at this point and the AWA is clearly updating the materials as time passes with new topical video releases. This material is still solid and practical, but not necessarily comprehensive or the most current iteration of the Askren "method".
Folk style wrestling at its best. A different perspective well teached
Excellent course!
This has stuff I wish I knew when I wrestled in high school. One of the best wrestling videos around, in spite of small production issues.

Ben is amazing, his techniques work and the best thing about it is they are incredibly effective and efficient at the same time. His style of wrestling is very much based on timing, positioning and leverage which is a wonderful compliment to jiu jitsu. He is not trying to slam anyone, he is not trying to do anything but control, defend and take a guy down with as much efficiency as possible. Once they are down, they won't get up as we have seen. I have been a fan of Ben's for a long time and I bought this product because I had it before and lost it. He was good before his final run and he was good after it. It took something special to beat Ben in MMA and he did very well against Maia in the last fight. He could have won the fight like Cody Covington, Tyron Woodley and Kamaru by being boring and not risking anything. Instead, he did a great job of engaging and escaping about five solid submission attemps by Maia before making a mistake and paying for it. If you have seen a video of Maia rolling with black belts, you know that he takes them five times a five minutes. The funk techniques are really something special. As a grappler we are very lucky to have a free thinker like Ben who was largely self taught to show us some refreshing ideas.
New ways to think about mma/ grappling
Very happy with this purchase . U get a lot of great content . A lot of the stuff in the Bjj scouts break down of Askren game is there. Minus the punching. Breakdowns rides Matt returns Set up’s Take downs. Very clear instruction it helping my Bjj game. Right now I am focusing on the first DVD because it more for someone try to learn wrestling . I also Suggest to pick up Henry Gold Metal wrestling alps really good for beginners and advanced really great Fundamentals. Never to late to lean I am in my 40s
very good
Not only is the price right, but you're getting 8 DVD's, each about 40+ minutes long on 8 different concepts from the Renegade of Funk himself. For those who didn't wrestle until they did BJJ or anyone training grappling this is an amazing amount of information. 5 stars fo sho!!
