• Interesting guard to play

  Professor Galvao shows a very interesting guard that is kind of a mix of 2 on 1 and spider. This guard can be used to off balance your opponent in many directions which opens up sweeps, submissions, and entries into other guards such as X guard. Very fun to play with this position.

  I've used other lapel guards, but I encountered some troubles. I decided to modify a lapel guard by myself, similar to the 3 on 1 guard. Soon after, I discovered '3 on 1 Guard Dominance' by Andre Galvao, and I realized I was on the right track! I'm currently learning various techniques of this guard from Professor Andre Galvao.

  I like to play this open guard but now with this instructional there are so many more options to choose from. you can't go wrong with any of Professor Galvao's instructionals.
