Helena does an amazing job explaining very pertinent drills.
Helena Crevar’s drilling section in the Gi instructional is clear, purposeful, and very competition-oriented. The drills aren’t just repetitive movements—they’re designed to build timing, sensitivity, and control in realistic scenarios. She does a great job of keeping things simple while still targeting key details that actually translate into live rolling. It’s especially useful for developing confidence in transitions and maintaining dominant positions. Overall, the drills feel modern, efficient, and directly applicable rather than overly traditional or abstract.
Lots of techniques, well explained.
At Home Drills – Gi is a very practical and well-structured instructional for improving jiu-jitsu outside the gym. The drills are simple, realistic, and clearly designed to build timing, coordination, and movement patterns that actually transfer to live rolling. I especially liked how gi-specific grips and mechanics are incorporated, making the drills feel relevant rather than generic solo movements. It’s ideal for days when you can’t train with a partner but still want to make meaningful progress and stay sharp.
A whole lot of stuff to practice with your ***** here. Very good.
Helena goes over a lot here. Just enough explanation to where you have a pretty good idea of how to do the techniques.
Simple starter drills if you have a *****
Once you have a grappling ***** this is a instructional you must have. Just the knowledge alone will accelerate and move forward your progress even without a partner
Good drills to create a good muscle memory and foundation of strength and flexibility for jiu-jitsu
Home drilling for mobility and skill development.
excellent video with great drills
No training partner available or you just wanna get the repetitions in? This vid is a must have! Great content!
As I was injured and needed to start slowly again, I used the ***** to sharpen up my transitions and to learn a few more submissions on the *****. Was really helpful and it is not really that expensive. Gotta be really honest, the biggest star on the DVD is the cat. The cat owns the mats :)))
OUTSTANDING TRAINING MATERIAL, Ms.Crevar does an excellent job explaining and demonstrating each step.
Good info. Nice instructions
Great video.
really useful you need to get this to train with the *****
Contains many drills for a white belt to review techniques learned in class with the *****. Helena does a good job of detailing the drills without any superfluous droning on. The birds and outdoor setting are nice when you're working out in a basement or garage or merely in your room in wintertime :) The audio could stand to be touched up or dubbed in some places where the wind causes static.
Good drills when your training partners are still asleep.
deploying this year and looking to keep working on my game while I'm gone. thanks for the awesome tips and drills!
