Extremely thorough and comprehensive exploration of back control, finishing mechanics and escapes/defences. A resource you can continually revisit to develop a strong back-attack game
Always thought it would be super easy to finish from the back. Not so much when someone really doesn't want to get choked. This instructional has been helpful with getting chokes.
Super detailed and precise. I love this instructional.
Really good series that covers both how to escape and attack the back. I especially like the section on how to finish the back triangle. Also plenty of technical hand fighting and RNC details that I haven’t seen before.
Great back instructional on back attacks!
Really great technique for attack the back
This is really good instructional. I'm having issues with back attacks, especially hand fighting. This instructional helped a lot + Ethan is great teacher. Also, if you watch him sparring on B-Team youtube channel or watch his matches, you will notice the patterns that he teaches in this product being used live.
I always knew Ethan was a very good backtaker and finisher from the back so i was happy he brought out an instructional. Learning some very cool principles and techniques already which I'll add into my jiujitsu and teaching for sure. Good quality video and audio, no complaints. Awesome work.
Ethan is an amazing teacher. What I loved most about this instructional was that each technique would be followed by the reason why he was doing what he was doing. I now have a full understanding of retaining the back, escaping the back, and ensuring a finish. As the review below said, the hand fighting lessons alone are worth the price, yet you get so much more. So happy to finally understand Ethan's thought process after watching him **** it in competition. Definitely my favorite back instructional that I own. Looking forward to a passing instructional from him next!
I’ve been following Ethan for over 4 years now and he’s always chased the back at a high level. The details on the 2nd dvd with how to hand fight for the choke are worth twice the money I paid at least. Im already able to implement these techniques into my rolls. 100% you need this in your collection.
Covers techniques not covered in my other back instructionals , Gordon, Danaher, Wiltse. I found Retaining the back against a turning escape, how to insert a long strangle arm, and how to properly lock the RNS to be the most useful parts. I haven’t made it to the rear triangle, juji, kimura portion yet. Very good information, recommend to anyone wanting to improve finishing their from the back.
