I bought this as a white belt. I watched it again after a year and I felt like I learned even more from the second and third viewing.
organized, precise and professional. watch your accuracy soar. thank you!
Amazing instruction introducing very interesting concepts which are gonna become a staple of my game!
What an amazing instructional. Margot is truly a creative visionary, as well as a fantastic athlete and instructor. She breaks down the concept of tempo and how it relates to distance in a very graspable concept, giving lots of practical advice and recommendations for improving one's ability to use and break rhythm. I cannot recommend this instructional more!
she gaves opend my eyes to open guard
Excellent instructional by Margot. She is a world-class competitor and teaches important open guard concepts, including the use of timing and tempo, which I have not seen discussed elsewhere. I have had a the opportunity to train with her and I would recommend checking this out
and every other game. the concept are beyond techniques.
Very good concepts. She makes things easy. Impressive
Margit delivers a clear and simple concept of how to stay and feel safe within open guard. She shows it via colar and sleeve guard and De la Riva guard. She explains and shows the techniques very clear and accurate. Underlined by a concept of timing and rhythm this instructional is a must have for guys who wanna focus on overall understanding and improvement in Jiu Jitsu!
Margot Ciccarelli is a really fresh and creative competitor who offers interesting new techniques and concepts. Her techniques are good to apply but far away from fancy or unrealistic to use techniques. I really appreciate her calm and fun teaching style and that this video is more about generell concepts and principles than just simply specific techniques to repeat. Refreshing differentiation form the standard instructional who only list one techniques after the other.
New and unique training method
margot teaches me new training method for bjj!
There are a lot of technique instructionals out there, but few instructors who try to capture the conceptual skills that actually make somebody good at BJJ. You need something like this in your library, particularly if you're trying to establish what jiu jitsu really is. Margot is an excellent teacher in that regard.
Loved this! Margot created an unique instructional that will help you develop a skill that is very difficult to teach outside of actual gym. If you really want to get better at jiu jitsu, get his!
easy to understand
There were times where I thought I was listening to a TED talk. Great concepts to think about and apply in training.
I like the concept of timing & the ability to predict in advance of what the opponent might do in a different situation
Margot has a completely unique perspective to how to approach bjj, which is reflected in this instructional. At the high level, timing becomes so much more important, and yhis instructional is great for improving that.
Margot is amazing. Very clear instruction with concepts you can use to generalize and improve your guard game. Strong emphasis on double sleeve/dlr. Highly recommend.
Incredible content. Margot is an active competitor and practices what she teaches.
This instructional is legit!!! Margot randomly showed up to our academy in SF a few months ago and it was super inspiring to see their Jiu jitsu game up close. I then bought this instructional as soon as I heard about it and I’m so glad I did. As a result I’ve been focusing more on being conscious about timing when rolling rather than just smashing my way out of certain situations. And I must say it’s really been helping me clean up my game. Thanks Margot! 🙏
I very much appreciate the way Margot breaks down the concepts of space and time as they relate to jiujitsu. Using an academic approach to the sport gives me a lot of encouragement as a smaller grappler. I feel like I have a better understanding of my training goals and see an avenue to progress through them. This instructional has taken the panic mindset in jiujitsu and replaced it with the tools of time/movement windows, building tempo, anticipation of movement, and spacial awareness. I will be adding the term 'long distance guard' to my vernacular.
As soon as I saw that Margot released a new instructional, and now on bjj fanatics, I knew I had to buy it. I have all her other instructionals and my game has been growing a lot following her concepts and mindset. I’m excited on this one cause it covers a concept that you know of in other sports and activities but never (at least for me) in Jiu Jitsu.
