  This is a fantastic instructional that uses an unusual yet really effective teaching method- really blew my mind. Anyone interested in deep half, has to get this, the pure Jiu jitsu of it is amazing, simple, applicable techniques. Jeff is a very talented teacher.

• Innovative Approach

  The approach to this instructional is money see, monkey do, with less explanation. There is a lot of repetitive rolling; however, no step by step instruction. This video will be appreciated more if the viewer is already familiar with the deep half position.

• Fun and enjoyable

  The most enjoyable tutorials I have ever had. Usually tutorials could be very boring . Either too much talking or too many tiny details for every movements. Jeff’s movements are self explanatory, and he does show pointers during demonstrations. I’d much prefer his style of doing tutorials.

  This is a great review of all his deep half game. Its more for experience deep half players. If you are just getting into must go to his other videos. Once you played with this position for a while this will be a great overview of everything. There not a lot of breaking down on this. Just more examples of the positions he shown in his other instructional.

  If you want deep 1/2 technique breakdowns step-by-step, pick up Jeff’s earlier instructionals before you grab this one. Here Jeff flows through all the deep 1/2 techniques (and their variations) introduced in his prior vids with a training partner. A great reinforcer to the concepts and techniques he’s already introduced—but if you’re a beginner, you might want to start with his earlier stuff before moving onto this one. He’s definitely one of my favorite Fanatics instructors—you can’t lose!

• Better Clarification

  This is not a criticism of the techniques or Glover.. They're awesome. I wish, however, the videos for deep half guard were labeled parts 1, 2, and 3, so you'd know what order to watch them in. He blitzes through the moves without explaining much. The videos are so expensive, I wish I'd bought an earlier one where he might've explained more. Good stuff though!
