John Danaher has an extremely methodical and thought-through style of teaching. I like how every step is broken down into specific goals: place your hand under X body part, turn your hips so that Y happens, etc. It's much more directed than something like "somehow get your leg to Z position", which is more how I learned it originally back in high school when I did judo. I like how John Danaher also breaks armbars down into speed-based versus control-based methods, which is an important distinction. I'm definitely happy with my purchase.
It totaly worth the price !
This video is an absolute masterpiece. I literally stopped going for armbars during my rolls because they were low percentage for me plus people usually defended it well (unless I was rolling against someone super new). Moreover, the trade-off when someone escapes leaves you in a very unfavorable position unless you try to slap on a quick armbar without separating your high guard. Man-o-man was I proven wrong. The details of troubleshooting coupled with the right technique are amazing. I definitely recommend it is worth the price tag.
Excellent!
The details John talkes about in this series are incredibly usefull. I have definetly been much more succesfull in my armbars during training after watching this content.
The most methodical/technical bjj videos available, Danaher thoroughly explains not just the techniques but the principles driving each detail. His particular method of instruction rings loud for those who think like engineers.
Easily the best instructional video I have ever seen!
Great instructional very detailed as always
Explicación muy detallada
I love it! My arm bars are faster and tighter, because of these instructional videos. I'm hitting arm bars with a higher percentage of success and I'm seeing new angles to execute them from. Danaher's explanations are simple, yet thorough. Throughout the videos he answers every question that I could even think to ask. I couldn't be more satisfied. Danaher is the best!
Easy to understand. Thorough. Worth it.
As always, thorough and informative.
I bought this instructional because I wanted a deep dive into the arm bar system as I rarely used arm bars due to a lack of confidence/success in the past; and a deep dive is exactly what I got. Similar to all the Prof. Danaher's instructionals, the arm bar system goes into extreme detail around entry options, maintaining control, and breaking mechanics. This instructional is well worth the sale price IF you are willing to put in the time and effort to learn, test and implement Prof. Danaher's system. If you do, the benefits will become evident quickly.
Fantastic instructional. Very clear and concise step by step guidance and explanations. Enter the system is the best series of video instructionals available
John Danaher is always very detailed in his explanation of technique and knowledge of BJJ. I have found his in depth instructions of the Arm bar system to be extremely helpful in my own BJJ progression.
A detailed and precise teaching of the arm bars, I recommend it is included everything.

He is an extremely gifted instructor. He’s Perfectly detailed Worth the $
Professor Danaher has such a crystal clear way of explaining his methods, techniques, and reasoning on every movement. Excellent video series.
the attention to detail the how breaking it down into parts if your like me and are slow learner this is the video for you can't wait get on the mats and drill this
Amazing
I learned more about unlocking certain grips in 1 hour than I did in 6 years.
I have trained with amazing armlockers in Judo who have been to the olympics and trained with many talented armlockers. The no gi look at some classic judo techniques is really good and whilst it’s all grappling, the medium dictates how the game is played. This is all about the juji-gatame and not about general armlocks. At first I was confused but then I started to realise the logic behind this and the opportunities juji opens. The reasoning is this is about the highest percentage arm lock with the most security. That is the juji gatame, where whatever position you start with, you need up with the opponents back on the floor with your legs holding him there. Other armlocks are quite achievable if people get confused or make a mistake before the juji, but all roads lead to Juji in this instructional. It is excellent and if you drill these techniques you will end up being dangerous from almost all positions.
This DVD show all the invisible details of the armbar. Just magic ¡
The principles on controlling your opponent has taken my armbar game to the next level. The small details are amazing.
