Good techniques
Good techniques!
This is great. I'm really bad at escapes, and I think this will help me greatly. With all the baddest competitions showing the offense nowadays, we're missing out important, defense details that we won't see much in competition videos. If you can't find it in YouTube or in your gym, this will save your neck by a mile-shot. It's a great start in BJJ!
Great resource.
Great escapes from a great coach and will be watching more of his video. Thanks again to the one and only Bernardo faria.
Tweaked my escapes
Good explanations and good demonstrations!
Great
I've learned a lot from this. BF is a very expert teacher and introduces you to many aspect of the "escape art" that are very interesting and applicable
I got this for free and its realy nice to watch now becaude of the lock down (corona virus) Thx one love for the help and suport to bbj people out there
Outstanding value. Bernardo's instructions are clear and precise with excellent details. As an older practitioner, I have limited mobility and find Bernardo's instructional particularly helpful as the techniques and strategies shown do not require rapid dynamic movements. Thank you Professor Faria
Amazing video. Faria is one of my favourite teacher and the way that he teach is really efficacy to improve my BJJ game. Great!
My coach always says a blue belt should know and be able to get out of (most) bad positions. Professor Faria teaches just that in this series. I highly recommend this package for anymore wishing to improve their escape game.
I use a lot of flexibility in my guard game and i drill a lot of escapes using this quality. Whenever my guard get passed i use inversions or spins to recover, but i needed some basics escapes from positions like a strong back take or a mount. I have not been able to train due to the health and social contingency in my country, but ,watching the videos i have been understanding a lot of details and concepts that I previously overlooked
I am a white belt and found that defense is probably the best thing for me to learn at the moment. This series is great and very helpful. The explanations are clear and detailed. Provides a great foundation of escapes to build off of. It is a ton of information and will take a while for me to absorb it all, but I'm am completely satisfied with this purchase!
Great vids
This has helped me escape mount a ton
Great job with exactly what I need. Added quite some details and techniques to my game so I can annoy my partner even more from any position  "Thought you had a good safe position there..? Whoops, nope, sorry!" :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Prof. Faria has amazing instruction that is easy to follow. Cannot wait to try these simple variations and see how they improve my game!
Bernardo Faria's Escape from Everywhere is amazing. In this DVD he shares a lot of finer details that will up your defense game tremendously! Definitely a must have for any practitioner always seeking to grow.
A lot of the escapes I have seen but the detail of how to escape and end up in your dominant position was great
Faria does a good job explaining the techniques. I found it very useful.
Excellent details and easy to add to any game. Highly recommend.
Reviewing this pin & submission escapes DVD has really improved my defensive game overall, there were some concepts that I was lacking that this instructional covered. The only reason that I'm not giving it 5 stars is because knee on belly escapes were not covered. Other than that small detail, I highly recommend it.
I am a white belt nearing blue and have watched most of the two pressure passing DVDs in the gi. I initially came to the site over a year ago to pick up some DVD's to help me keep from getting crushed under mount and side control (the Danaher Escapes DVD helped me a ton from mount, but even though I understand his side control stuff, I'm still stuck there often, which is part of why I picked up this DVD. I want to be able to escape without trying to get the opponent to take mount for me to do so. My issue seems to be not making space with the outside elbow effectively). I have the no gi half guard video, but at the time I bought it, it was too advanced for me to follow and retain (though half guard is becoming my game now so I'll be returning to it soon and think it will be much easier now). One critique I have of the past videos of Bernardo's that I watched was the verbal explanation of the moves wasn't always clear or specific to what he was doing (i.e. "put this arm like that" vs "I need to bring this elbow to the floor so that he can't do xyz"). You could follow if you watched intently and it was very useful, but it didn't always give the language needed to for a noob to retain it and if you had your attention divided at all you weren't going to get it. This video is different, by far the clearest explanations I've heard Bernardo give. I can understand what he's saying just by listening 90% of the time, which adds a lot of value and helps make sure I really do understand what I'm seeing if there is any doubt. It's also very versatile in that it covers a lot of situations and it has a couple of details I haven't seen on other materials. I'm half way though and have caught a few things I haven't seen in other videos or in practice yet and think I'll be able to implement them pretty quickly once I'm back on the mats. Actually, talking about the language/vocabulary has me thinking a useful thing for noobs to the sport would be if this site had a glossary of terms/moves/positions including non English names. I think it would help a lot of people follow videos or even less technically spoken coaches at practice. I know colored belts that look at me funny if I ask about kesa gatame or scarfhold as they only know it as side control.
