Best money I have ever spent on an instructional. Clear, concise, and immediately useful.
An encyclopedia of submission defense?
Great information
Excellent solid technique with important details
Great video Garry Tonon gives great details on defending but attacking. Great setups the minute you defend the minute you go to offense for a submission. I always like playing defense in my rolls but now I got a great appreciation to work out of the defensive and submitting. Thanks Garry!
Awesome instructional video, great escapes and good details
Fantastic instruction and next level attention to detail! Any level practitioner can get better with these tips, especially white belts like me!
Really good video, I’ve learned a lot from it.
Gary Tonon covers escapes from a wide variety of common attacks and then links the escape to counterattacks. I is impossible that your escapes will not improve after studying this content. Gary Tonon has a casual teaching style that is easy to follow.
This dvd has made me much more better at attacking by giving me the absolute confidence i can escape submissions. Even when i do get submitted i know why it happened, which is extremely valuable if you want to progress in jiujitsu. Garry's way of explaining things is also very good as he explains things in a very clear and understandable manner. Would recommend this dvd to anyone.
i have 104 fanatics instructionnals. This had to be a top 5. it is a must for sure, tonon explains the positions to show you how to escape it. very happy i got it! Ive been teaching martial arts a very long time, bjj 5 years, i recommend this to everyone!
Garry is the man. Incredible knowledge from one of the most unsubmitable (if that wasn’t a word already prof. Tonon made it one) people on the planet.
Epic stuff thanks for the great work
A priceless learning tool for anyone starting or continuing on in Jiujitsu. This instructional will build your confidence and maintain your personal safety as you progress in our wonderful art. Thank you BJJ Fanatics!
I havent finish it yet but this is amazing! All instructions are clear! Clearly one the beat bjj fighter!
Excellent instruction with a lot of detail. I also like the fact, that there are always explanations in why a specific move ist used and what the while scenario gets explaned in the video, so you always know, when the different moves apply in a grappling scenario.
Great instructional. I have not gone trough the entire course yet(few hours long) but so far explanations are detailed and clear. Definitely a must for everyone but specially newer BJJ students. This will teach you to survive then you can work on submissions. You can’t submit if you can’t defend well.
Top
I am a white belt and currently **** at escapes. Part of it is because my instructor has yet to teach me. The other part is because I haven't done my part to research what I got submitted to and how to escape it. I got this instructional for that exact reason. This video instructional it's amazing. So far I've managed to escape a few submissions with the knowledge there in.
Awesome
Don‘t Train BJJ in Gi but Wrestling and Grappling and can absolutely recommend it. He goes into the most important submissions and explains the escapes and possible following techniques very well! For me it is more than worth the money!
Garrys instructionals are very thought out. He explains his content very well in the video. I highly recommend!
Excellent.
Excellent instructional video; Garry is clear and concise. I tend to have a very defensive mindset so I really related to this topic. There were two things that Garry did in the instructional that I thought were superb. First, was the overview of the attacks where he showed the concepts of the attack and related the attack to the escape. These were good to see from both an offensive and defensive perspectives. I would like to see more instructional videos where concepts are discussed, as opposed to, just showing techniques. The second thing that I really enjoyed was the transitions to attacks from the escapes.
The best instructional for a multitude of escapes. Amazing, and always the highest quality content from the Danaher squad. Thank you to BJJ Fanatics for hosting such a beautiful website but we NEED the app soon!
