Helped me learning escapes systematically especially on leg locks.
Still rather new to Jiu-Jitsu, and this instructional helped improve my game tremendously. At first, I wasn't sure if it was worth the money because I have never purchased an instructional before, but it turned out to be well worth the buy. I even learned some things that I didn't know offensively, so this helped me apply these submissions to my opponents, as well as giving me many more options to avoid and escape submission attempts.
Great instructional!
Gary has changed the way I train. He goes over the most common submissions, how they work, and what needs to be done conceptually to avoid and escape them, then demonstrates the concepts from several positions. Awesome video.
Great escapes instructional i have used these techniques in sparring and im finally getting out of submissions
Since I watched this instructional, people have a hard time submitting me. For me as a white belt I'm not allowed to do the heel hooks but still be able to use the escapes and work to other positions. Its also nice that you learn the key-pints of the submissions, so I can use it to finish a submission and to know where I have to focus on while defending.
I really enjoyed the way the techniques were explained , from the basic concepts of how every submission works to how to counter
Exit the System by Garry Tonon, what a great instructional. Garry Tonon takes you through an step by step break down with counters in his exit escapes system. He give great explanations on why and how you should defend and think. The techniques are top notch. High recommend this instructional.
I am a big fan of Garry's teaching style. Clear, concise, and comprehensive.
Gerry is very clear and passionate and of course extremely insightful and knowledgeable of these escapes.
Great instructional with easy explanations and great techniques!
Great instructional. Helps to look at escapes from early to late stage in the submissions. Looking forward to his other content.
This instructional is good and makes me feel as though im making progress after every training session
Garry is sick bro, major steeze. Best instructional viddy on the market.
Easy to understand escapes. Very well detailed
Tonon advocates the sort of escapes that do not end up with you in a neutral position but in a winning position. Although most of his escapes seem to favor the Ashi Garami as a counter weapon of choice, the aggressive, attacking approach to the escape is something worth learning.
Garry addresses escapes for leg locks, omoplata, kimuras, armbars, triangles, arm triangles, guillotines, front head lock, and back control. He explains how the knowledge of a successful submission application is the beginning of knowing how to escape it. He divides his escaping method into four stages and demonstrates preventive measures as well as late escapes. What I enjoyed most was the simplicity and creativity shown in the counters. I have never seen these counters before. Anyone wanting to not only survive but submit their opponents should purchase this instructional.
