This set is amazing. I am not sure I even want other people to know about it. But the sport has to move in that direction. I have so many judo videos, but Danaher describes the core principles of judo so well, better than the judokas. Great series. You should really watch this.
Long, very long, very very long. But if you can make it through start to finish it’s inevitable that you’ll come out 25x better than before.
EXCELLENT!!! I grew up with a basic wrestling background. Now that I have knee problems (like Ronda Rousey), I can no longer perform the traditional double leg takedowns, or any takedowns bending/squatting down to ground level. John Danaher's series of FEET TO THE FLOOR has expanded my options of sweeps trips, and takedowns outside of the traditional bread and butter takedowns so common in wrestling. I think that it also expands a world of takedowns that many BJJ players are afraid, or ignorant of implementing other than the traditional guard pull. 5 out of 5 stars. PS....A shoutout to the BJJ FANATICS crew and staff who heeded my request to put FEET TO THE FLOOR SERIES back on their DAILY DEAL SALES, which has not been featured for many years due to their enormous catalogue and library of videos. I recommend that all of of you, my fellow martial artists suggest to them to feature videos in BJJ FANATIC'S library that haven't received any exposure they have a vast selection to offer in their DAILY DEALS.
It's Danaher! Is there much else to say? Some people say its boring. Those people aren't on the spectrum.
This is an encyclopedia.
Great tips
Look no further, learn from the best.
I have bought many judo instructionals/tutorials. Danaher's explanation of basic judo concepts is far better than any explanation I have seen anywhere else. And not to mention that his description is designed for bjj practitioners not judo, which we have to recognize is an entirely different sport with different principles. Danaher has many valuable insights. I'm not saying he is the be all and end all for all time, but he is required reading and probably will be for 200 years. Everyone has to watch this.
Good
Good easy to apply priciples
Great stuff
Great part for my game as a beginner.
I started in BJJ without stand-up, but realized my game was incomplete. This DVD helped me understand the basics and eventually got me to a point where I feel comfortable standing up and getting a takedown.
This will make all the difference in the world in your standing game.
Volume 1 is an excellent overview of the essential takedowns you need to know.
This is the best standing program for BJJ in the gi that you will find.
I enjoyed this part three in the feet to floor series. many good details, he does repeat himself a bit but I didn't mind as it helped solidify the learning. I also enjoyed the discussion on failed take down recovery.
John Danaher's Feet to Floor is a masterclass in bridging the gap between standing and ground techniques. His clear, methodical explanations make it an invaluable resource for grapplers of all levels.
fantastic series with all most would ever need to know!
This is the best intro for BJJ you can purchase. Why? It is something adapted to the mode of fighting of BJJ. We are not Judo fighters or Wrestlers. Our objectives and goals are different. The role of submissions changes things. This video provides the best way to fight as a BJJ fighter.
Focus on highest probability, low risk takedowns. exceptional instruction and detail like all other Prof. Danaher videos
This is a very good introduction to BJJ takedowns. Emphasis upon takedowns for BJJ with its specific ruleset.
Excellent
Top notch curriculum on standing position for BJJ. As always, Danaher offers a thorough and complete course. Volume 3 covers guard pulls, guard pull counters, submissions from standing position, takedown defense, mat returns, and higher risk takedowns. 10/10 recommend this product to any BJJ student. I think buying all 3 volumes of Feet to Floor is the way to go - you'll get a very complete and dangerous game for standing position.
Feet to Floor is a comprehensive review of all standing position skills, and it is very good instruction. Volume 2 is specifically aimed at the best throws for BJJ. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants to take the standing position seriously.
