  One of the things I love about this is that he hits basics that I didn't get when I started bjj. Coming from judo there where aspects of the standing game, for instance, that I already knew, but someone coming in with no experience would be thrown to the wolves, so to speak, in most classes, just because you typically aren't going to get this sort of "from the ground up" instruction. Plus, his highlighting of the finer points of technique are really appreciated. For myself, coming from other grappling arts, it's nice to have the refreshers and also to get those nuances.

  A good set of techniques to get someone started in bjj. There's not much time dedicated to each technique but he addresses the most common errors and why they are wrong. Good for a no ice to get a fell for the fundamentals
