Solid Instructional
Solid instructional, Karel is a great teacher who strings complicated ideas/techniques together well. I do have one critique (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars), but I don’t think it should stop you from buying this instructional. Getting to and maintaining the “armpit grip” could use more focus. I guarantee its my own ineptness that keeps me from getting it, but without that grip I cant use a lot of the devastating arm bars Karel shows

Let me first just state this is a must purchase. At first when I started watching the first hour 40mins of the material I thought this was great material and a fair buy. Unbeknownst to me I still had another 3 hours of mind blowing content which made the ROI on this purchase an absolute no brainer, couple that with a BJJ fanatics discount code and this is a must have. The first half of the instructional is no gi and the second half is gi but the game apply’s to both, via Fox's “universal grips” he teaches us. Fox’s unique teaching approach is effective and digestible for anyone and everyone, his decades of teaching skills really shine through in the instructional. I now see arm bars from top, bottom, side, back, absolutely everywhere.

Karl's teaching is top notch. I have been a big fan of his material since I saw him with Frias. I use many of his armbar techniques. His concepts are where he truly shines though. Follow ups and positional retention are big in my game. Oddly enough karl and melanson have a lot of cross over in there philosophy despite there size differences. Good tactics and technical attacks that lead to other attacks. You won't be disappointed by the fox! Thank you very much karl!

This DVD is as powerful as when Thanos combined his Infinity Stones into the Infinity Gauntlet. Silver Fox was one of Renzo's first students and is one of the best teachers to come from the Renzo academy. Whether it is on the offense or defense Silver Fox shows high level set ups to armbars in which your opponent does not see it coming until the trap is already deep and the set up has long been active. If you buy this dvd you will learn the mechanics with the gi and without on how use the different armbar grips and what positions you can start to use your attacks from whether it be from turtle, bottom of side control, or stack passes. Would recommend this video to anyone looking to learn new mechanics, and who have been struggling with armbars from how they were originally taught.

Wow! Fundamental Armbar Mechanics by Karel "Silver Fox" Pravec is one of the most detailed videos i have seen so far. So many gems, like the "armpit grip"! Karel breaks down the movements in a way that any level BJJ practitioner can understand and perform. Karel's personality keeps the viewer engaged throughout the whole instructional. Cant wait to see what other BJJ instructional videos "Silver Fox" releases in the future.

Incredible instructional but expected nothing less from Silver Fox. Beware the old man in a young man's sport. As a 48 yr old black belt this series was a huge benefit to my game. Karel delivers perfect technique with this one. Buy this, you wont be disappointed. Thank you Silver Fox for everything you do!!!

Great DVD with great details, and I can truly say it's a one of a kind instructional with some conventional and unconventional approaches to getting and finishing the armbar. Silver fox style is great for both gi or no gi and mma. Anyone who is a BJJ FANATIC it would behoove you to buy this, study this and add it to your game.

Professor Pravec is hands-down one of my favorite BJJ gurus. He has an uncanny ability to break down broader concepts AND specific technique and execution details like no one else. I've enjoyed his YouTube videos, his instructional with Firas Zahabi, and his "Roll With the Fox" series since beginning my BJJ journey, and was super psyched to finally see this collaboration with BJJ FANATICS. Fox's invaluable lessons are not to be missed if you're looking for a studious deep dive into arm bars with tons of takeaways. And shout out to his black belt Enrique who serves a FOx's rolling partner in these vids.

This is and armlock instructional but it has a superb added value which is the guards shown in chapter 1.If you learn only the first chapter: perpendicular guard, the split guard and ude gatame as a system; there not much more you will need to have a killer submission guard. Ask my friend Tyrrel (Destro) that averages 5 submissions per roll using these techniques... . Silver Fox provides all important details and he is easy to watch because his teaching skills are at another level. Oss!
