A resource that I will keep visiting again and again. Every time I get stuck at training I can come back to this and research the position.
This is a well laid out instructional. It is easy to navigate and contains excellent detail and instruction. It is easy to implement the techniques into love rolling with immediate effect.
Very detailed with clear explanation, clearly worth it.
It is clear from the series that Lachlan is not only a high-level competitor, but also a highly skilled teacher. The level of detail (and how it is demonstrated) is exceptional and really does make difference to your BJJ game. As Lachlan says at the start of the video, use it as a resource to dip into when needed, there is so much detail that it is not meant to be watched like a movie! What a great resource, I highly recommend it.
good video!
This escape series is extremely detailed as Lachlan demonstrates and explains different situations very thoroughly. It is a well done series.
This is where I most quick found improvement - working on escapes from rough positions and Lachlan is a very detailed, talented teacher.
I love the way Lachlan teaches, he goes in really detail but does not bore you. It's a great course to improve your escapes in every position.
Fundamentals of Brazilian jiu-jitsu escapes is a great video series. Giles is a great teacher ,he gives great details in instruction. Giles covers mostly no gi with some gi. The no gi can be used for gi also. Giles does cover some submission escapes also. The price for the video series was a steal. Great series to bring a beginner to a new level fast.
This is like a dictionary with escape techiques. If Im having any trouble getting out of a position in sparring i just go to this and Lachlan will show a great escape. And i really like Lachlans approach to teaching. Its not overly complicated and straight to the point.
Lachlan does a great job of breaking down each position and goes through the possible scenarios you could end up in from them. Found I was getting lots of details that I had been doing wrong. Has definitely improved my escapes.
I love the way Lachlen teaches, the way he breaks the techniques down and eplains the finer points or the key to the move. The quality of production is always top notch with the various angles and clear picture. A top buy for practitioners of all levels gi and nogi. *****
Great depth and unifying concepts.
Lachlan is a good communicator, and he teaches some very good techniques in this series. This will be a great video series to add to your knowledge as you grow in understanding the defensive side of jiu jitsu.
Great details, clear instructions, practical. Thanks for another great instructional.
I really like Lachlan's teaching style. And his techniques are solid. Combine that with the sheer amount of information he shares on each of his instructionals and you can't go wrong. Highly recommend all his videos. I'm slowly collecting them all.
Lachlan really sets the bar for instructionals. Really thorough and informative, in an easy to understand way.
The instruction found in this video is top-notch. If someone was to master the moves in this series they would be indestructible on the mats. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up. You won't regret it!
I’ve developed a bit of an instructional buying habit over the past couple years. That being said this video truly lays down all the technique that will be the foundation of your jiujitsu. Not sure who’s originally said it but I heard recently. If no one can keep you pinned or submit you it frees you to enact your game plan on competitors. There is no longer fear of missing the submission and ending up in bad position.
Strong 5 stars. Detailed , thorough and very clear instructions for escaping all the bad positions. Also recommends a primary escape strategy to learn and master first. Recommended.
i had some doubts before buying it, but after spending half hour watching, i was blown away by the details and effectiveness of the techniques, no bullsheeet, no nonesense talking and straight to the point, #1st buy and so happy
Brilliantly planned out, great concise instruction with usable escapes that actually work for competitors and hobbyists
I WAS CONFUSED MANY YEARS IN SOME TECHNICAL, THE BJJF WAS HELP ME CLEAR AND GO FURTHER. THANK YOU , YOUR GUYS DOING VERY GOOD
good
I bought the half guard passing and half guard anthology before - I think the way Lachlan organizes his instructionals is super effective for the learning process. One of the most technical instructors out there but he focuses on the most important stuff - there's no "fat" on his explanation or overly complicated diagrams like some others. In addition to that he adds some really important building blocks that help these techniques but also any position. Some of the stuff covered in this DVD I haven't thought about since I was a fresh white belt. It's almost embarrassing to ask about this stuff to instructors or training partners but I see it in my own rolls and even in ibjjf black belt matches now that I know what to look for. It may not be sexy to focus on escapes instead of a new guard or passing DVD but if having an effective game is important to you I would absolutely pick this one up. Hope to see more from this series in the future.
