Lachlan is a great teacher. This series has more details of how he makes these techniques work. In addition to details of the techniques themselves, the series is good because it is edited well, includes live examples, and he describes some strategies for execution.

Nice instruction of chokes, troubleshooting, linking stuff together, and transitioning between positions. I like it when instructionals show how techniques flow into each other (instead of just showing isolated techniques), and Lachlan is good at that.

Lachlan is one of the best instructors hands down. He explains techniques in a clear and concise manner without the long drawn out explanations like some of the other big time BJJ coaches. I’ve become known in my gym for head and arm chokes after studying this instructional. Highly recommend this and any of his other DVD’s.

As an eager beginner, I've bought a few videos. Lachlan's video is an excellent purchase for the price. He speaks clearly and straight to the point. I really enjoy the way this is set up. He begins by explaining different types of chokes and how to execute them. At the very end, he narrates through his rolls. I've noticed I learn a lot through the narrated rolls. From now on I will not be buying any more videos without rolls being narrated. One of my favorite coach now.

This is a must but instructional for chokes. The way that Lachlan breaks down the content had catching and finishing these techniques soon after purchase. In particular the arm in guillotine and mounted arm in guillotine

Such a great video. Lachlan demonstrates each position with great clarity. Every small detail is carefully explained and filmed from various angles. I would highly recommend this series to anyone.

This is a great overview of the full suite of conventional no-gi chokes. Like all of Lachlan’s instructionals this is outstanding. He is very good at explaining key concepts, detailed techniques and even practicalities like which chokes to prioritise depending on your body type and limb length. If I had to pick one thing to criticise is the fact that, by Lachlan’s own admission and as set out in the title, the content works better in nogi (although a lot of it translates to the gi too).
