This is a great video for anyone interested in BJJ. I have just begun teaching a beginners class, and Prof. Faria brings up some points in this video that I never would have thought to cover. Great resource and an affordable price.
This instructional - Introduction To BJJ by Bernardo Faria - is a very good introduction for the complete beginner to BJJ. It goes through important concepts, beginner techniques and then some really important information about choosing a good BJJ school, amongst other important information. This instructional goes for about two hours and will be a good addition for the complete BJJ beginner mostly, however, I'm sure that other more experienced practitioners will also benefit.
The instructional achieves its objectives by providing a good overview of the art and providing solid advice for those wishing to start training. While the instructional provides the concepts behind each position it doesn’t teach any technique other than some basic solo skills. Other products by Faria would be better suited in my opinion such as ‘Foundations of BJJ’ if technique is what you are wishing to learn from your instructional. Overall - good introduction. Ben
Great introduction and was helpful with introducing my son to BJJ. Obrigado senhor.
I picked this video up as a college student looking to start BJJ with no experience, and Bernardo does an excellent job at explaining the absolute basics of BJJ. He absolutely makes looking for a Jiu-Jitsu school far more accessible. I feel a lot more prepared and excited to get started once I return to college in the fall after finishing this introduction. Thanks, Bernardo! Full disclosure: This series covers some solo moves and explains positions and such, but for techniques, it's better to check out his Foundations of Jiu-jitsu product.
I highly recommend this for any complete beginners that would like an intro to BJJ.
As an absolute beginner in this game i very appreciate the simple and structured approach of this introductive series of videos. Worth every penny
This instructional is very useful for beginners and even for coaches as a guide on what to teach to beginners
Great introduction
I have an apple phone and multiple chromecasts but you’re videos aren’t able to Streamed to a tv. It would make it so much easier to train and drill along if I watch it on a larger screen that I don’t have to hold. Any way to get that in the works?
