• Exactly what I needed

  I was on the look out for a good introductory leg lock series when I came across Drew's instructional. I first heard him on a podcast a while back about the crucifix position and proceeded to immediately purchase his lessons on that position. That video has the highest ratio of applicability to watch time of any video I've purchased. For most instructionals, I find the ratio rather low. Drew's teaching style really gels with me. It's simple and succinct. He makes sure to explain both the hows and the whys, without getting lost in the weeds of some super long attack sequence you will never remember in a live roll. Leg locks don't come naturally to me and so far this has been the clearest explanation I've found.

• After listening to Drew on a podcast a while back, I purchased his crucifix instructional. His teaching style really gelled with me: clear, succinct. He explains the hows and the whys, and doesn't get lost in a super long chain of instructions that will be impossible to remember in a live roll. On an average instructional, I find the ratio of actual usefulness and retention to video length to be pretty low. Drew's stuff so far has been very high for me. I purchased the leg lock starter because I'm at a point where I need to understand them but leg locks don't come naturally to me. I needed a solid introduction that wouldn't get lost in the weeds. So far it hasn't disappointed.

  Professor D. W. has a very structured way of teaching. He offers a way of shortcuts of certain moves were he relays more on shoulders and elbows than on the upper part of the back and neck. He guides you very calm and safe through the certain leg entanglements.
