This was a great video and help me out a-lot in my game. Was able to see the difference immediately.
I am a 37 year old with bad knees. I'm all about the laziest way to do things and foot sweeps fit the bill. This is a great instructional.
Moves work really well. Easy to follow. Go into good details on every single move.
One of my favorite instructional that I’ve purchased very detailed. Used a lot of the sweeps lately and they’ve worked really well.
I liked it
Great info albeit seemingly low percentage trips.
Great for all levels , simple concepts and simple mechanics
Great for all levels from simple concepts and simple mechanics
Good product on sweeping mechanics for jiu-jitsu. I wish the product was in Japanese so that Mr. Satoshi could explain the mechanics and details of the sweeps more. I would be happy to learn by reading subtitles if he communicated in Japanese. Justin Flores's Foot Sweep Flo product on BJJF offers better explanations and demonstrations of the different sweeps, setups and scenarios one can use the sweeps to improve their jiu-jitsu.
A good product about sweeps. The multiple demonstrations and breakdown of the movements are easy to follow along with.
Clear instructional about standing sweeps. This product will improve one's standing game. The information is useful.
I’m a little older and less athletic so foot sweeps come in hand often
Videos are clear and right to the point. Immediately see improvement in my footsweeps
Loving the instructional.
Some nice hidden gems in here
Great delivery of knowledge. The different variations for different set ups and situations is awesome. Time to start drilling.
Low risk moves that help de-stabilize your opponent. Good stuff!
I picked this up while it was on sale and ended up grabbing his New Wave Judo as well because of how helpful this one was. Even though his English isn’t perfect, he does an excellent job demonstrating the techniques and clearly explaining the “why” behind them — which is what really matters. My judo has improved tremendously since studying this. I usually watch 2–4 sections ahead before class, drill those concepts during training, and then continue progressing through the instructional. That approach has made it extremely valuable for me. If you want practical, effective sweeps that actually work, this is it.
Love it . I’m lazy and this helps
I really enjoyed the straight to the point approach, I’ve learned so much from this course, well done🙏
The power of his sweeps is unreal. You can literally see his heavy training partner flying through the air. The ground shakes, the camera shakes, and when the body hits the mat you feel it. Wow. Just beautiful. Never before have I had to brace myself while watching an instructional. This one made me brace in pure amazement at the sheer brutality (in the nicest possible way). Judo is a completely different world from BJJ, and honestly, I don’t understand why it’s called the gentle way. That said: If you want to compete, I strongly recommend this video. If you want to teach white belts, make sure they first learn proper breakfalls in depth. Without solid ukemi and sufficiently soft mats, trying to stop these throws with an outstretched arm is an injury waiting to happen.
Ah foot sweeps the aged practitioners best friend. As an older jiujiteiro, my knees ain't what they once were. So the old blast double leg takedown or even the entry to a single leg are the last thing on my mind if I want to be ambulatory after my lesson or open mat. The solution? Foot sweeps. This instructional covers a broad spectrum of foot sweeps all of which can be highly effective if hit correctly. Despite English being a second (or even third) language for Satoshi Ishii he is still able to clearly articulate his instructions in a way that even a knucklehead like me can understand. The last chapter is self drilling which is a nice touch to help develop your ability to execute the move. Highly recommended for practitioners of all ages.

I wanted to check out lazy people sweeps bc I’m lazy. This didn’t fail. It provides all the most common positions to foot sweep from.
