Very helpful with passing guard. Danaher along with Gordon’s videos on the same subject go very well with each other.
This instructional has really helped me pick up on the necessary details of guard passing. John really gets nitty gritty with details and it really helped me avoid common mistakes.
Danaher's insights into BJJ are next level, he provides excellent and simple explanations for the "whys" of guard passing. This video series was definitely a great investment.
Anything by Danaher is great! He explains things perfectly and makes you think.
Amazing instructional. Was able to improve my jiu-jitsu right away.
This is exceptional. I wasn't sure as the passing in gi was pretty comprehensive, but there are plenty of elements in here not touched on in the gi passing. I have melded pretty well with the body lock passing and I believe it is worth it for that alone. However open guard passing is a subject I will delve deeper into and hopefully master thanks to this material.
Great way to improve your passing game.
This is a great instructional that not only covers the fundamentals of guard passing, but shows techniques that will give you the ability to pass the guard of people at the highest level. All of his work is top quality and this one does not disappoint!
Your game will always change after watching a danaher video
Between fanatics wrestling and fanatics bjj I have more than 30+ instructionals so far. Hours and hours of great content and valuable information and even though I have yet to see them all, there are few that stand out like a beacon of light in the midst of the night. One of these is the new wave jiujitsu guard passing instructional. John breaks down everything like he usually does so the student - you and me buddy <3 - can get the most bang for our buck and even though the price tag is quite hefty, remember the information John delivers has not just taken half a lifetime to archive but more importantly gone through his Aspergers filter. If there is something important you need to know john is there making sure you know about it. Recommended for everyone at all levels.
Brilliant instructional full of gold. John is the best peroid
Top instructional Nothing else to say
Jiu-jitsu has a history of being effective but Danaher's techniques increase its effectiveness while making them simple and straightforward (which is indicative of a high level of knowledge in both technique and principle). I'm a four-stripe white belt that's been training for 8 months (mostly 4-5 times per week) and I have been able to use these techniques to pass the closed guard of blue belts that are half my age (I'm 51) by simply using the techniques in this instructional video. Plus, John shows you a great way to handle possible sweeps after you stand and they are also effective, which allows you to feel comfortable in attempting the guard pass since you know you can quickly recover from a sweep and still achieve the guard pass. New Wave Jiu-jitsu is the beginning of the next phase of jiu-jitsu for the 21st century that will serve to make jiu-jitsu an even better system. A big thanks to John Danaher for his innovative and effective approach!
Excellent as always. John offers the best teaching for those who wish to learn at a deeper level. If you’re the type of person who doesn’t have patience to listen to someone repeat the same thing over and over, don’t buy. However, if you know and understand the power of repetition, then you’ll find this video to be a gamechanger.
My passing game has improved tremendously as I have watched this. There are so many fine details that are covered that make a huge difference!
Great content that covers concepts in thorough detail
Helped me massively.

big fan, especially of the torreando sections. easy to come back and reference what you need.
I learned a lot from this series and have implemented it in my game.
super useful video adding my guard passing.
great material to focusing on if you are looking into improving your game passing guard no gi.
Complete System to pass modern day guards. Good explanations, in some parts like the different steps to set up Torreandos a little bit over the top in my opinion
another amazing instructional. greatly helping me with my passing game - especially half guard and body lock passing. keep coming back and studying them.
Loved it. Very in depth study of Danaher's no gi system!
