great instructional
How to pass them!
yet again john danahar has knocked it out the park!!! use the concepts all the time and changed my attitude towards guard passing
Takes you from basic to advanced in 1 series
In this video you learn such specific adjustments - it's really helped my application of the techniques
The level of details is incredible. John Danaher starts with some theory and key concept. Very helpful to understand why the techniques work. Then, the instructional shows the main guard passing techniques, from opening a closed to guard to passing open guards.
This video was a game changer for me. I’m an educator so I appreciate the meticulous approach used to teach the essentials that can be quickly adopted to practical applications. A must for any Jiu Jitsu practitioner with a desire to “go further, faster.”
As always, well explained and efficient concepts and techniques!
Excellent as always- no surprise his students are the best in the world
Danaher does an outstanding job
Good explanation. But dam JOHN can talk.
Another great instructional.
Professor John Danaher did another outstanding job of simplifying and systematizing general principles and concepts onto passing in general and the certain techniques. He covered all major forms of passing in a way so that you are able to adapt them to the different scenerios you may find. He broke down every pass into the different stages based on the lines of defense and points out so well when and how to set up and reajust if necessary. ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE!!!
The content is excellent and the first watching was extremely informative. However, the materials could have been laid out in a more organised fashion with better-named timestamps: every time I come back to this series looking for a specific detail, it makes me want to strangle myself with my own gi.
Very comprehensive instruction on details from opening the closed guard to guard passing concepts to dealing with specific guards. It's an instructional that I'll be dissecting for a long time. It also pairs well with his open guard instructional.
The passing guard and retaining guard videos/lectures are incredible. They’re very information dense, which is absolutely perfect. I’ve been going through the videos slowly and actively trying what I’ve learned when I go to classes. I’ve gotten noticeably better in a short time. But make no mistake, you have to commit to these videos/lectures. It’s like going back to school, but C’s won’t suffice. I’m excited to watch, practice, and incorporate what I learn in these videos, into live rolls. I can hardly wait until I master the basics so I can move on to more nuanced bjj fanatics lessons.
Danaher strikes again! While I always expect excellent content from JD, I’m still consistently surprised by how well his techniques work. The bar has been set quite high (again). Well worth the money!
1. Very informative 2. Very practical 3. Very easy to follow, good camera angles If I could start over, I would just buy all of his DVD's, no one else's, even though there are other excellent instructors. With John, YOU ARE NEVER WRONG!
Another great selection for your Danaher collection. Multiple hours of technique and experience explained by the coach of coaches in detail that can be consumed by the newest white belt up to the practicing black belt. Check it out
The approach to the concepts was amazing so many resources couldn’t be happier
This instructional from John Danaher provides key details and instructions on passing the guard.
Fabulous instruction made easy to understand, remember and share with others during training. Well worth the purchase price. Thank you so much!
As always, Danaher delivers excellent detail and analyses on his view of passing. Absolutely recommend.
I've always appreciated Professor Danaher's teaching method. He breaks down techniques to a granular level and explains concepts in a way that make them usable when things don't happen according to plan. His videos are pricey but well worth it. My guard passing improved overnight!
As MJ said: go back to the fundamentals, and star by defense you son of kkkkkkkkkk you got the idea!
