I own pretty much all of Coach Melanson’s DVD’s and this one is a great intro to catch style grappling. In my opinion this dvd is a good start for those interested in learning a more wrestling based system. Coach Melanson is very in depth with every technique and doesn’t leave any stone unturned when it comes to teaching finer points of techniques. It’s my hope Coach Melanson puts out a turtle dvd next!

This is the video that introduced me to Neil Melanson and I've been a huge fan of his instructionals since. The undertook get up counters changed my game immediately after watching and there is just so much high level detail in here. Definitely worth a buy along with his other videos, thanks Neil!

This instructional is amazing! As a white belt, I’m now starting to be able to chain things together, and Neil’s insight is making it that much more easier. His ingenious perspective is an eye-opener in terms of how I look at BJJ now, while being able to find opportunities from pretty much every position possible. Wish I would’ve found out about coach Neil a lot sooner! I’ll definitely be purchasing his other instructionals in the future!

As an older grappler, I'm always looking for different ways to mix things up with my younger/faster training partners in the gym. I love Coach Neil's non-traditional approach and how he infuses wrestling and Sambo techniques with BJJ. More please.

Great instructional. Clear and usable with a few savage moves that I would probably use on my training partners. But they’re nice to have understanding. If you have half guard players in your gym this is how to shut them down hard.
