What I was expecting ! Nothing acrobatic and very good guidelines.
I stoppped training BJJ for a few years but as someone who doesn´t like all the new school stuff, was waiting to know more about half guard in an MMA or real fight setting and Neil strongly addresses over and over again concepts that will fit into your brain when strikes are involved and many of the fancy modern moves don´t work.

If you play Z - you have to buy this
I have been a fan of Craig Jones and others that play Z - I have been using it A LOT lately. Neil's take on the position is much better for players like myself needing the next level but am not to elite status. His movements are relatively simple... his attacks are not fancy... and the content is all top notch - so well explained... This is definitely geared for blue to brown belts that play Z. The content is done in a way that if you have never used Z before - you can learn it from this ... also if you have been playing it for years - there's tons of new ideas that I promise you have never thought of. The last move - the foot switch... I have been working Z for about a year now - I can't believe I never thought of this.

Beautiful halfguard attacks-untraditional but effective appraoc
Neil's approach has helped transform my halfguard game in many ways. I was able to immediately incorporate his teaching into my own style making my game more effective and dangerous. Love they way he attacks the legs and blends wrestling and bjj. The instructional is laid out perfectly and Neil's teaching is top notch. In result I have purchased all of his instructionals. Recommend studying everything Neil publishes.
