Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:A Simple, Meat-and-Potatoes Kimura Series
While it touches on kimura techniques from a variety of (sometimes unexpected) positions, the instructional spends most of its time on two specific kimura systems: one from half-guard top and one from half-guard bottom. (Traditional half-guard, specifically, which I don't play often; though I am confident the specific advice Holanda gives here can be applied in other positions). Little time is spent on grip fighting, set ups, etc. The central focus of the instructional is demonstrating how you can chain together a whole series of threats off of a single grip. (The most interesting detail to me was the way Holanda would flow from a failed kimura to a straight armbar without relinquishing the kimura grip.) Nothing fancy, but it doesn't have to be. Solid, informative instructional. Simple enough to be actionable for kimura beginners, with enough depth to offer guidance to those who are trying to beat the common defenses of more experienced players. Plus a few thought provoking tid-bits about how one may use kimuras in a variety of other places. (I'm eager to try his kimura from back mount, as I often struggle to overcome my partner's strangle defenses. And I intrigued to find out if his details from "Kimura Off the Knees to Closed Guard" and "Kimura When Opponent Goes to Back" might be used as traps from bottom turtle...)
Kimura
Just because it maybe affordable doesn’t take away from the attention to detail or quality. Application and practice yields results. With this video you will learn and better your Kimura game. Are you ready for it?
Nice flow
I like the way the techniques start with best case scenario, and then branch out into the "what-ifs". It gives you a very easy game plan to follow in training.

Professor Fabio Holanda gives a great guidance through all common kimura scenarios from half guard bottom and top and added on double leg and back take defense via kimura counter out of the double leg defense. North South set up is covered to. He exactly show when and how to use the kimura as a hold and pin and when to attack and sweep. All important angles are given and the key details became explained during each sequence. Highly recommend!!

For an older whitebelt with no submissions this video gives tools to begin to create some attacks too and not just stop moving and end up back to defending.

Awesome reference for the Kimura. If you want to really dive in and improve this attack to get the submission or even to use it to get sweeps it's a great instructional.
