This position will change your view on what is possible when bigger people pressure you! amazing stuff!!
Best octopus guard instructional out there!
teaching was concise and easy to understand
Lot's of nice ideas to play with from this position. Really useful. And explained in very simple and concise terms. Have revisited it a few times.
I really enjoy this series. I find Octopus Guard works very well when my opponent hip switches in top half guard. Craig describes how to beat the cross face, build height, ext. It's a very well done product. Would highly recommend to anyone trying to level up their sweep game from bottom half.
good
Good instructional on octopus guard with multiple options from this position
Straight to the point, no BS, game changer
Nowdays I use these techniques when someone is passed my guard trying to go around my legs or hip swiching.
fun
I just started watching this instructional, but it has already improved my game. Craig Jones made this instructional for a very specific situation or position that I seem to find myself in a lot. Craig’s attention to detail and sense of humor make absorbing the material fun. Although I just started watching, I gave the Octopus Guard 5 stars because I already know what to expect from a Craig Jones video. It’s another tool to help me find success and expand my JiuJitsu. Hopefully you’ll enjoy this video as much as I am. Be sure and remember to give ‘em the old reach around when the time is right. Your partners will appreciate you for it.
Craig Jones knocks it out of the park once again. I truly believe this guy is going to be at the head of the change in the BJJ meta. If you aren't watching his content you're gonna be left out. Hitting octopus sweeps, standups and back takes left and right.
Octopus Guard - Reverse Seatbelt - Reach around Guard. Concepts and techniques. Strategies. Great to control the scramble. So you can force the scramble. Perfect back up position.
Nice last line of defense
I can't say enough how the instruction in this video is good enough to demonstrate of octopus guard. Craig Jones is one of the best grapplers as well as the best instructors in the world. Really satisfied with this video.
if you have a couple of these you can see his whole system coming together. The way the Power Bottom stuff combines with this, with Just Stand Up, with Power Ride. All great stuff that keeps training partners guessing and just makes for a fun overall game.
good
easy to understand and interesting
Love the detail and the flow chart.
The rolling footage on the last video has a dope Skynyrd playlist. Instructional is great too. I feel like Octopus is a great way to surprise people, especially if you haven't rolled with them a ton.
Lots of little tips and tricks here. Easily worth the price. As a position it's something a lot of people aren't familiar with - and it leads to plenty of fun scrambles. As far as instruction goes, it's not too long winded.
great information to have in your back pocket for a dynamic position/counter
❤️️
This instructional will make you much harder to control on standard bjj positions like bottom side control and half guard, you will also learn the details of the "one sided buggy choke" which will make your training partners even more annoyed
for the first month i was getting absolutely smashed every time i tried this, but once i started getting the details down im looking for it everywhere
