Amazing video
Every instructional this man makes is a must if you want your game to be high level. He puts hours and hours on end so we can have a cheat sheet basically. Great instructional once again!
Don't even second guess it, you need this one
So many details, so many ways I must now fix my game. Hahaha, Love it! THANKS GORDON!
So much knowledge in one instructional. Thanks again Gordon!
Gordon Ryan's instructionals are , hands down, the best, most thorough, and most systematized instructionals on the internet and this one is no difference. He gives so many details, principles, and answers to the endless "what ifs" that come with every jiu-jitsu technique that I have never had someone make me use the last few counters in each of his systems. On a personal note, I'm 44 and started bjj at 38, so I'm not getting any younger. I don't have the ability to train all day with a 55+ hour a week job and kids and I'm so grateful for Mr. Ryan's open-ness with his systems, mentality, and approach to jiu-jitsu. It has been like having a short-cut or cheat code. We are super lucky to have people (along with John Danaher) who have already figured so much of the jiu-jitsu maze out, that we can skip the decades of trial and error they have put in. They could have kept it to themselves like many martial arts instructors and practitioners do. Not only have Gordon's instructionals changed me as a bjj player, but it's made me competitive with the black belts and high level competitors I train with (as a purple belt).

Excellent techniques from "the king," with easy to follow demos.
It's great to learn from "the king," with such simple explanations and demos.
Had watched the KOB escape the day I bought this. Went to class the next night and stuck the escape and submission on a higher rank. I guess this guy knows a little about this jiujitsu stuff.
Such a great system! Helped to boost my confidence!
Excellent DVD, great detail and fully systematised to cover every possible reaction and scenario.
Technically sound and unstoppable.
Coming back to jiu-jitsu after (another) 2,5 year layoff, I knew I had to rebuild my game from the bottom up with solid escapes. Especially as now, the game has evolved a lot PLUS I'm over 30 and not as athletic as I used to be, and therefore have to rely more on actual jiu jitsu technique xD Even though Gordon breaks everything down so concisely, there's so many crucial details, that I've rewatched essentially the same 1,5 volume a few times now - so definently a bang-for-your-buck tutorial so far. Can't wait to dive deeper!
This is probably one of the best video sets I have seen and there are not many products out there that look at escapes at a high level. I'm a huge fan of the detail in all of Ryan's products.
Like all the other instructionals by Gordon Ryan, this instructional is exceptional. Gordon does a phenomenal job of not only escaping a bottom pin but how to go immediately into a strong counterattack. Worth every penny!
The best escapes instructional ever. For a beginner, Johns is better, but wow is this incredible. All the detail and every question you want to ask is answered
This video is a tremendous vault of information that will help you escape out of pins, as well as understand why you are doing it. The kipping escape from bottom mount stood out the most and was seriously insightful, and Gordon explains when to use knee elbow escapes or kipping escapes. Gordon is also hilarious with some of his comments and this video really grabs your attention and keeps you intrigued. I have seen several videos on kipping escapes, however, Gordon's presentation and explanation is the best (in my opinion). Great job Gordon on this outstanding product!
Everything I have been looking for as someone who likes to be sneaky with their game. I have watched two volumes in their entirety so far and they are superb.
