Youre gonna feel like a magician on the mat with the many positional options for the canto choke.
absolutely amazing
Excellent video. I have always wanted to learn what makes this choke so effective. Flavio breaks down the positions and grips required. He also provides drills to help you become smoother. Excellent video from an excellent practitioner of Judo and Bjj.
one of a kind.loved it.
The Canto choke by the man himself. Very clear, so many details, Flavio Canto shows us how to perform his choke in many situations

This choke changed my game. I am able get higher belts because grip is so unthreatening and boom Canto choke. Highly recommend.
The detail and variations of the Canto Choke are amazing. The video editing was pretty poor compared to other fanatics videos. Overall I would highly recommend this video for those that want to dive deep on the Canto.
great insights
I have been able to get people with Canto choke in bjj because across grip is so unthreatening as oppose to cross grip, so people don't mind giving it to me then baaam Canto choke.
Systematic approach of ne-waza executed via canto choke. Sensei Flavio Canto created an outstanding manual based on his progressive system. Master your own movements. Master each part of the moves wirh your uke. Master the technique. Master the transitions.Master the entries. You get a step by step manual of how to progress and how to do every technique properly. He also promotes the concept soft beats hard and forces smoothness over strength. Highly recommend!!
I have seen many BJJ athletes use the so-called "Canto Choke" from the guard or side control positions, but I haven't seen many from other positions. That's why I was thrilled to learn it from other positions. It's going to be a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in BJJ.
Flavio Canto breaks down his signature techniques so well that I was able to attempt it after watching this instructional. There are many small details that help one understand the mechanics of the choke.
The first video i purchased, which i was so happy with i have since gotten many more. Great job of instructing and explaining! All my teammates get so annoyed with my canto attacks since watching this
Straight to the point, I like it.
A thorough study of a very quick and effective strangle!
It's a pleasure to watch and learn from Flavio Canto himself. Flavio breaks down the mechanics methodically, goes all the way from the basics to more advanced in a direct and friendly approach. I learnt a lot from this, thank Prof. FC
Great video. I would like to have more details on standup techniques.
Flavio goes all in with really breaking down every position to get the choke
This is an amazing collection of knowledge from one of the great grappling minds of our time. A big problem with grappling in the internet age is people see a cool technique and want to skip straight to mastery. Doesn’t work that way. Canto Sensei’s progressive system breaks down how to start from the beginning on to mastering this devastating waza. Stick with it! I got passed a ton while I was first learning it but now that I’m starting to hit the choke it’s a deadly weapon in my arsenal.
special instruction
The name of this systema says everithing. It is progresive, you go step by step, and it becomes natural. Flavio makes an accurate explanation, nice details, and good drills for solo training and partner. I have just missed more tachi waza focus/combos
Great detail and insight into one of Brazil's great judokas. Canto's ne-waza is very applicable to BJJ.
