Great clamp guard for smaller and older bjj player like me. He explained the technquies and concepts so well. Brian is John D s old student. similar teaching style. very detailed and concept. Highly recommended for older n lighter players.
Mr. Glick's detail instructions are perfect in providing insights in the movements required to be effective.
lots of details. very well organised. concepts and aswell as technique.
This is definitely an underutilized position and Brian gives some great insight into it
Great instructional. This video will give you a nice game plan for controlling and then submitting your opponent. You will find this video simple to implement into your game.
During this instructional you’ll see the clamp guard & all the variations that you can do from this type of guard. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to Jiu-Jitsu or you’re an old timer… this instructional is very good & useful.
In this instruction Brian takes you through the clamp position and how effective it is. This technique es are game changers. I recommend this dvd for anyone trying to change their guard retention game. Excellent instructional and Brian speaks very clearly
Really helped me improve, and find this safe position from everywhere.
After my injurie I will try to use the clamp a lot that is such a good position and Brian Glick is a master of that position. I think his work deserve more attention. But I wish this DVD was less expensive as sometimes it makes reference to other instructionals from John and Gordon and I can t buy them all. So the instructional could have more details for example the part on the escapes from bad positions. Otherwise great content
Brian Glick is an amazing instructor. He manages to break down the clamp position in a detailed yet simple way, making it easy to implement the techniques as soon as possible. Great instructional!
Great instructional, lot of new and easy applicable techniques, highly recommend to everyone
I became interested in the clamp position from a John Danaher instructional. I saw this one and took a chance. I'll just say it did not disappoint. Brian Glick is a Danaher black belt, he's great at explaining the clamp, all the details that make it work, proactive entries, reactionary entries from poorer positions, finishing options from the clamp. This has become one of my favorite BJJ Fanatics instructional in my library because I like how the clamp can be used. It fits my game nicely from full guard, half guard and also can be transitioned into quickly from bad positions (as John Danaher explained in his excellent New Wave: Positional Escapes, where I first learned about the clamp).
Really thorough explanations and clear demonstration on each concept. The last section with an easy to find quick summary of each section is super helpful for a brief review before getting on the mat to work on things.
Underrated position, really deep explanation. Couldn’t ask for more.
I am enjoying this instructional immensely, I ‘m always asking why am I doing this and why does it work? One of my favorite things about this instructional is the why’s are explained. I also like the backstory of the system and as an older grappler, I think it will apply well to my needs on the mat. I highly recommend this instructional to anyone.
Great details Clamp the he world!
Thanks Professor Glick. Great material, very detailed with good explanations. You are a fantastic teacher and I was able to immediately start incorporating the clamp.
a little backround.. I'm a 2 stripe white belt, just recently did my first comp, been training about a year. This instructional is very well put together, Brian is excellent at explaining every different technique, the fundamentals and the why of it. Really feel like this is gonna change my whole defensive game a ton. Very well done. Opened my eyes to a bunch of different things I now know I was doing incorrectly. Thanks a ton for this.
Underrated position from an underrated instructor. I am glad to see that Mr. Glick has finally put out a BJJ Fanatics instructional.
This is an amazing instructional. Professor Glick does an outstanding job of explaining the Clamp, which really is a system. This has made a big difference in how I play from the bottom.
1st part on how to set up the clamp is worth the price of the instructional and just gets better and better.
I have been fascinated by the clamp since I saw a summarized explanation of it in Prof. John Danaher's go further faster closed guard instructional. I have been waiting for an instructional on this for a while now as I think it will fit well in my game (I have fiddled with concept in training a few times, without a proper sense of direction but with success nonetheless). I have started by analyzing the active and reactive entry from half guard and in the few short training sessions, I am getting it consistently. This will be really really helpful for me and I recommend it to any beginner!
This Instructional is phenomenal - the techniques shown are taught properly, in a manner that is easy to understand and implement. Professor Brian is so detailed with the concepts, principles, and techniques he's shared - this system will add value to your Jiu Jitsu for life. A must own in your BJJ library.
