• Really important video for those that want to take their grappling to combatives

  Rico does an amazing job systematically mapping out the different positions where you can seize opportunities or find yourself in trouble. My favorite is the "RIP" concept which is one of the important threads that goes through this video. I'm a weapons instructor with the rank of Guro in Lightning Scientific Arnis- a Filipino martial art.

This is for grapplers of any sort who have found themselves wondering what key things they must be aware of if weapons are in play. • Fantastic Instruction!!

  Rico's content and material is second to none, and is, in my opinion after over 30 years in martial arts and self-defense, the best realistic approach i the world as it pertains to any weapons based grappling environment. I have been across the entire U.S. and trained in 5 different countries and his system is the best possible approach for weapons-based grappling and survival for any serious practitioner and instructor.

• Top tier instruction and material!!

  I have been looking for a weapons based grappling system for years, and when I found Ricos system I was not disappointed at all. His instruction on the material is beyond what's out there and he leaves nothing behind. If you are MIL, LEO or a civilian looking for the best option for dealing with weapons on the ground, I urge you to check out weapons based grappling by Rico Cortes. He could have charged more and I still would have bought it.

• Weapons Based Grappling

  I train BJJ with Rico in Orlando at Mudita BJJ. His knowledge of both grappling and weapons blend perfectly in this instructional. He is a great teacher and very knowledgeable about how to utilize weapons as an extension of yourself in a hand to hand scenario.

• Catch Wrestling with Weapons!

  I loved this deeply! This was a fascinating exploration of grappling with weapons. I particularly liked Tuhon Cortes' catch wrestling influence. I loved the practical drills and skills taught here. I absolutely love to see BJJ Fanatics introduce more FMA for self defense, and this is a great blend of grappling and weapons combat.
