Stick grappling is an evolution in the creation and application of joint locks
This curriculum is not only exceptionally designed in terms of pedagogy and didactics, but it also serves as an effective and efficient bridge between weapon systems derived from Filipino Martial Arts and grappling. This allows for maximizing the qualities of each art into a unique system that is much more than the sum of its parts. This module is perfect for law enforcement and even helps level the playing field between someone who isn't skilled in grappling and someone who is. In other words, it not only maximizes a grappler's skills and takes them to the next level, but it can also serve as an effective counter to grappling.
Great Instructional on Takedowns and Control
I have trained with Rico now for a few years at Mudita BJJ in Orlando. This instructional perfectly blends FMA and standing takedown techniques. Incorporating weapons allows you to improvise when in real world environments. It also allows you to add a new dimension to your training in the academy.
