Give it a watch. An affordable, trustworthy workout instructional.
Fantastic Resource for Beginners
Great starting point for beginners working to get working on their strength. Its great to hear from the perspective of an actual grappling practitioner.
A Straight Up Lecture, But...
Exactly what I was looking for. I've been doing Starting Strength for a little over a year. I really like the program, but I was running into huge fatigue issues with doing Jiu-Jitsu. Doctor Mike answered a ton of questions I had, and my programing is a lot more solid now. Don't waste your time watching another grappler work out. Get Doctor Mike's advice, learn proper technique videos from YouTube or a good coach, and then you're set.
Good info but less BJJ than you might expect.
From the cover-art, you might expect demonstration of techniques and exercises. Not really, it mainly Dr Mike laying knowledge down. Still good.
Super thorough and applicable
Great info, super clear explanations, in depth info that is applicable and no bs. Absolutely recommend if you want to train strength and jiu-jitsu (you should!)
Get Swole and Functional
Evidence based practice of Strength for grappling from a Dr Israel himself.
Good primer for strength training.
A good solid fundamental video on strength training for BJJ. Always solid content from Dr. Mike. Mike - make more BJJ content, an advanced weightlifting series would be handy.
Great knowledge made simple.
I learned a lot from this video after watching Dr Mike for years he’s helped build my knowledge on so many great subjects. This video is very informative and broken down as simple as possible.

Great refresher
I'm not a beginner at weightlifting, but I wanted some more insights on how I can get the most out of my 2 sessiosn per week to compliment my Jiu Jitsu training. This is mostly basics, but you can get a thing or two out of it if you've been lifting and training for a while. For how cheap it is (especially with the constant discounts on this site) it's worth it. If you're a beginner at lifting weights/BJJ, it's extremely worth it.
Good content
Good content
Perfect addition to my training
Excellent explanation of why and how to train for BJJ.

Dr Mike is knowledge, and always good and given pragmatic advice
Good fundamentals
Good. Especially liked the advice on tapering before competition.
Big Guy Jewjitsu
I will follow this plan and become so jacked that I cannot even pat myself on the back when I win all of the jiujitsu.
Solid introduction to weight training
Well-explained, directly applicable. You don't have to do fancy stuff or go into full meathead mode to improve your strength or build muscle. Just get the basic right, and you're good to go.
Positive review
Awesome stuff, Dr. Mike never disapoints!
Scientifically Efficacious
Great starting framework for individuals who primarily began as weightlifters.
Weight training for grappling
Interesting instructional about the theory behind creating a weight training regime for grappling. The whole film is pure theory and no lifting, so if that is what you are looking for its great.
