Always detailed and easy to follow.
I’m a purple belt and mid 40s. This is exactly what I was looking for in terms of what to focus in my training. The techniques are super practical with a ton of detail. Looking forward to purchasing the top game of this series as well!
Professor Danaher has done it again!
The depth of instruction in this video series is exceptionally good. As a 53 year old black belt I appreciate the technical details that have already made a measurable difference in my ability to control my younger, stronger and faster training partners without fatigue.
Great system giving the bottom player options in many situations
Very informative instructional. Mr. Danaher breaks down techniques into small and very digestible pieces not only explaining the “how” but also the “why”. I have been able to incorporate some of the principles into my game. The best part about this instructional is he covers strategy and technique for older athletes getting into the sport.
Great after a series of injuries.
This course has helped survive and at sometimes thrive at my academy where I’m one of the older students. I’m 40 and this course has helped me continue to train several times a week with mostly under 30 year olds.

very clear and informative - good base for drilling
I've only recently started this. it's exactly what you would think. extremely detailed with great content.
Great approach and details not just for older athletes but anyone actually. Wonderful overview of BJJ the covers bottom guard and escapes, and sweeps!
This instructional has really helped me to focus my intention and attention towards a specific game that works exceedingly well with my limited attributes. Danaher is a genius and I believe this type of guidance will help me to increase my longevity and enjoyment in the sport.
Great instructional Danaher is the instructor which every Bjj trainer desires. Top
Comprehensive system for us old guys/gals. Highly detailed breakdowns from many angles, each element leading into the other. While I've watched the full video, there is so much detail, one has to zero in and really pay attention and take notes. However, the results are fantastic. I'm 52, will be 53 in less than 4 months. The guys in the gym I used to absolutely dread rolling, I am now able to leverage the info in this video to great effect, including getting to submissions multiple times per round, which is great getting the tap from these guys who used to dominate me. We all want to get better and going up against younger, stronger, more athletic opponents used to be a huge nightmare for me, but now, the tables have turned. If you are an older guy or less athletic, I highly recommend this and it's sister video 'Top Game Gi'. I've only applied about 5% to my rolling, because I'm a slow learner and yet my results are over 500%! I really can't say enough good about this video.
John Danaher always bringing the epic details
great
50 year old purple belt here and this instructional really helps to consolidate all of your knowledge to date into a system designed for older guys. I also have some health issues that impact my cardio so playing a funnel based game is critical. This is well thought out and I recommend putting this strategy into use. You'll see quick results. Especially if you've been doing BJJ for a while.
great for old players
amazing.
So thoughtful and well laid out. Gives me some confidence i competing against the young guys.
Danaher is incredible.
I’m a Blackbelt and I still learn so much from watching John’s videos. Whatever technique I’m teaching my students for the week I will refresh by watching one of John’s video first. This series is particularly helpful since I’m 48 and most of my adult students are 40 plus with some in their 60s with limited mobility and other old injuries that limited their athleticism and explosiveness. This series addresses those issues and gives solid techniques that rely on leverage and body mechanics versus strength and flexibility. Great job, John!
This is very helpful and extensive tutorial. Highly recommended.
John has doen it again with a great video dedicated to us ( older folks who refuse to give in to our age and want to keep on training)!
