Learned a lot from a beginner.
A
It is a great real self defense video
Excellent quality instruction
Great Video
Don't expect to come here and learn deep BJJ techniques if you don't know them already. For experienced players, this is a great and cheap series of principles to apply your skills for self defense.
thumbs up
I really liked this. I never really think of BJJ the way they teach it in this video. I would definately recomend this video. Alot of the techniques are not just for the streets either. Its alot of good stuff .
Richardson's focus on pressure testing everything for the street is refreshing. It's broader than I'd expected (he has a longer, more in depth knife defense instructional).
Covers weapon defense amongst other defense areas.
Just got done using this in the homeless people early in the morning not only does it work but it’s inevitable. Even in sport BJJ and mma these techniques carry over and work well. It is a Must have.

Really serious about pressure testing everything for the street. Definitely made me want to see more detail on knife defenses.
Invariably Burton Richardson’s videos are excellent, practical and well researched.
Excellent course for adapting BJJ skills to practical self defense applications. Burton Richardson is an excellent instructor. The course is well rounded, not just BJJ techniques with no context.
Just began to watch, may edit later but so far it is good.

Really enjoyed this series, great way to understand the difference between sport vs. street.
High quality add on content that makes the techniques more safe in the street.
This is a good instructional to street proof your BJJ. It asks a lot of questions and points out few examples of how to answer said questions over a broad sample of situations. I would recommend this instructional as primer to expose the viewer to a broad range of self defense situations that will need to be explore in more detail and specificity at a later time.
adding street awareness will change how you approach your training. a must-have if you're serious about street self defense. love the real case studies footage validates his concepts and approach
Lots of good information from a very well known instructor. I like his point of view idea on self defense. This instructional offers a lot of what you don’t learn in class.
Simple enough to apply. Coherent narratives. A bit more materials would have bumped this to 5 stars.
Realistic techniques, every situation is thoroughly explained. Still, I do find some of the parts overexplained or even redundant. Perfect for complete beginners, a bit long-winded for more experienced grapplers.
Burton Richardson shares his many years of experience across multiple disciplines in this excellent application of BJJ techniques to self defence. Highly recommend
