Joel Bane has done an excellent job here of introducing people to some great Catch concepts and techniques. His attention to detail is second to none, and he makes sure to relate those details to the consumer. Volume One demonstrates some simple shin rides that some people may not be familiar with, and it is a solid introduction. Volume Two and Volume 3 are definitely very useful, as he goes in depth into some leg ride submissions, some top ride work, and demonstrates some truly brutal hammerlocks and keylocks. I personally thought the video was very well done. The camera work is clear, the details provided are helpful, and the techniques flowed well. As far as training videos go, I think you can't go wrong with the quality of instruction. I will add that I train strictly for self-defense...not competition, so this video suits my personal style/beliefs regarding training.
I've amassed quite a collection of downloads from BJJ Fanatics, given the isolated location that I live in. Out of all the instructionals that I own, this is by far my favourite and resembles very much my style of grappling. I hope to see more CACC type instructionals from Joel Bane 👍
